Bratislava Post-Kommunism Tour

Beskrivning

Excellent tour by Richard who met us at our hotel and over the next 2.5 hrs we were provided with real insight into several locations of historic importance which we'd never have covered or found ourselves. Alongside well known sites there are some real hidden gems which my wife who worked here 30 years ago hadn't known of. Covered alit of ground e.g. old Stein brewery and development of communist appartments, market hall, Slavin, old radio building, namestie slobody sq, site of the iron curtain / WWII bunker and a return through Petrzalka. Great blend of life in Bratislava through WWII, communism, Prague spring and Velvet revolution really informative and engaging. Would highly recommend...and got the bonus of trying Kafola!!
Thank you very much for this :)
Passionate and exciting guide. We learned a lot about the history of this fabulous country. We recommend this tour.
Merci beaucoup :)
Fascinating tour! This was a really enlightening experience that took us through many parts of the city, including sites that would never have been in any of guidebook, so that we could see the transformations due to the political changes over the last 75 years. Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us a nuanced and sophisticated understanding of the evolution of society and politics here.
Thank you very much. we are glad you had an insightful experience with our guide.
Our guide Brano was very nice and knowledgeable. On the tour you will see many interesting places that you would probably otherwise miss. Brano took his time it felt very calm and relaxed. Highly recommended.
Tack så mycket, vi är glada att ni tyckte om rundturen med Brano :)
We had a wondeful time on the tour. Pur guide Richard was super knowledgable and engaging and took us to off the beaten path locations we would not have discovered ourselves. I would recommend this unique tour to anyone looking to learn more about this fascinating city.
Zuzana was knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the Communist time. She was engaging and fun to be with. The Skoda was a great addition to the trip. We were not rushed, and as luck would have it, we got a chance to visit a bunker and learn even more. Would thoroughly recommend. Zuzana is a credit to the tour company.
Thank you very much, Helen! :)
A great afternoon exploring Bratislava! We've done similar tours in other former communist cities and had high expectations. Brano's love for the city was evident; he had a deep understanding of the history and wove in personal stories that added to narrative. Would recommend spending the afternoon with him! He reached out before the tour to see if we needed a different pick up and was kind enough to drop us off at the train station.
Thank you, Nicole :)
It was a family trip to Slovakia and we as a family had a connection to the history of communism. It was fun, informative, interesting and fun to be in an old Skoda! It was one of the best tours in our trip! Highly recommended!
Thank you very much, our pleasure, Grace! :)
Very interesting tour. Shows a lesser-known side of Bratislava from a local’s perspective. Recommended!
Thank you very much, we are happy you enjoyed the tour! :)
We had a fantastic time on the post-communism tour with Brano. He was friendly and very knowledgeable and informative. It was great to get off the beaten track and see some of the city that we would not have seen otherwise. Our tour was in a 1980s VW van which was cool. We got loads of knowledge about the geo-political history of Slovakia and Bratislava itself. Five stars all round - I would highly recommend this tour and specifically Brano who was excellent. 👍
Thank you, Leigh :)
