Beskrivning

Learn more history here than Sam Adams & Paul Revere.

Great tour that dives into some 1700 history & a lot in 1800’s that doesn’t get much attention but is certainly worthy. Highly recommended for adults that want to learn more Boston history beyond the Revolution era.

Operatörens svar

Well, thank you so much for five stars for our Underground Railroad Tour! Hub Town Tours guides love to talk about Adams and Revere, but we're also dedicated to sharing Abolitionist history, and the history of the Black community on Beacon Hill. And we love to walk guests through this historic, beautiful neighborhood that was the heart of the Underground Railroad in Boston. We very much appreciate your recommendation!

Preserved History

If you are interested in African American history in Boston this is the tour. Mehgan did an excellent job and was knowledgeable on the history of AA in Boston. She was very passionate in her tone on the free slaves and their struggles to become free as all humans back in the era. She gave breaks when walking the Beacon Hills area. We enjoyed our private tour due to another group canceled. Lucky for us :-). I would definitely recommend this tour with Mehgan. You will learn alot and be proud of AA history. I'm glad to know that Boston preserved it for generations. Kudos to Boston!!!

Operatörens svar

This tour was so informative and enlightening! I would recommend anyone visiting, or living, in Boston to experience it!

This tour was so informative and taught a bit on the lives of enslaved people and their plight for freedom. Megan did a wonderful job educating us on some of the more famous, and those not as famous, abolitionists who had their hands in helping dissolve the abysmal and dreadful institution of slavery. Since the tour is a walking tour of Beacon Hill, she allowed many breaks so that we were not so physically overwhelmed. I think this educational tour would be a wonderful learning experience for the young and old, as well as Boston natives or those just visiting Boston. It allowed the tourist to understand a bit about the importance Boston played in the fortification of the Underground Railroad. It was definitely a side of Boston I would not have gotten to enjoy and experience if I had not done the tour.

Operatörens svar

Beacon Hill, although historic and beautiful, is certainly a hill, and we work to make the walk comfortable. Thanks so much for recommending this tour!

Highly recommended tour if you are lucky to get Lin as your tour guide!

Excellent tour with an excellent guide, Lin. She was so informative and there was no end to how much she knew about the area of “ safe” houses and abolitionist activity in and around Beacon Hill in the 18th and 19 th centuries . The streets are hilly so keep that in mind.

Operatörens svar

Well, thank you so much! We appreciate five stars for Lin, who is fascinated by Boston's Abolitionist history. Especially that of historic Beacon Hill, the center of activity for the Underground Railroad here. Beacon Hill is aptly named and can be steep, and our guides work to break up the climbing with engaging history stories!
