Very fun. Nice small group. Enjoyed market and stories about Boston. Guy knowledgeable about all. Good tour
Our tour was an incredible experience, combining familiar touch points of America history with new stories and historical figures we’d never heard about. Paul did an incredible job, and the pizza and cannolis were increase as well!!
This is such a great review to receive, thank you! We’re really glad you enjoyed that mix of well-known American history alongside the lesser-known stories; that’s exactly what we aim for in making the experience feel fresh even for people who know the city a bit already. And we’re especially happy the pizza and cannoli delivered too… hard to go wrong with that combo HAHA!!
Got to see and experience the sites of the North End of Boston! Loved the food and conversation. Paul was a great guide with a great knowledge of history and of the North End.
Thank you so much for your review - happy to hear you enjoyed the food!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an excellent Freedom Trail tour last Thursday with our guide, Charlie Shea. His knowledge of Boston’s history was impressive, but what made the experience stand out was his unique perspective and storytelling style. Charlie brought each stop to life with poignant stories about Boston that had a rich, layered history, particularly in the Blackstone Block Historic District. At Carmen Park and Paul Revere Mall, he helped me picture what the city would have felt like centuries ago, and in Paul Revere Square, he shared details I hadn’t heard on other tours. The tour was informative, engaging, and well-paced. If you’re looking for a way to experience the Freedom Trail that goes beyond the standard script, I highly recommend joining a tour with Charlie - he's unforgettable:)
Woah - thank you for this detailed review, really does show you enjoyed the tour!!
It was a beautiful sunny day, our guide Charlie was funny, interesting and very knowledgeable about the area and subject matter. He went above and beyond to give us a very memorable experience
We had a wonderful tour! Charlie went above and beyond! He was fun, knowledgeable and took us to many sites! We enjoyed the mix of humor, history, fun and food!
Many years ago, my husband and I were in Boston and walked the Freedom trail on our own. We chose this tour because we thought learning more about the food would be interesting. The tour started too early to enjoy New England clam chowder at the Boston Public Market, but we did anyway. The walk through the Halocaust memorial park and around the adjacent quaint old buildings should come first. While we realize that purchasing food is optional, the tour design is incompatible with enjoying food. To try and eat a cannoli and walk the fast pace Paul set was impossible. At least we sat for a few minutes while we enhaled our delicious Italian sandwich. No one else in the group bought one, making us feel awkward. Paul is funny, but he doesn't have a good sense of speaking to a group. I had to ask him to stop talking and wait for my husband and others to sit down before he started his lecture at the table in the Public Market. We've been on numerous longer food tours that were more pleasant because our stops were prearranged with the restaurant or shop.
Paul was an excellent guide who suggested delicious food options and exceeded our expectations for this tour. We learned a lot about the history, culture, and food of Boston. I would do it again.
Charlie , our tour guide was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and showed us the best spots. I would recommend this tour and our great guide.
Just wasn’t as I expected it to be but I did enjoy the food tasting and singing bowls ( glass harmonica). But was still enjoyable nonetheless and the weather was a plus.
