Du kommer att bli gästers prioriterade klättring till det översta Borobudur-templet Detta berömda buddhistiska tempel med anor från 800- och 900-talen ligger i centrala Java. Den byggdes i tre nivåer: en pyramidformad bas med fem koncentriska kvadratiska terrasser, stammen på en kon med tre cirkulära plattformar och, överst, en monumental stupa. Väggarna och balustraderna är dekorerade med fina lågreliefer som täcker en total yta på 2 500 m2. Runt de cirkulära plattformarna finns 72 genombrutna stupor, som var och en innehåller en staty av Buddha. Monumentet restaurerades med UNESCO:s hjälp på 1970-talet. Att lyfta fram stenrelieferna och Buddhas många ansikten.
Fortsätt din tur med ett besök i vackraste hinduiska templet Prambanan. Byggt på det tionde århundradet är detta den största tempelföreningen tillägnad Shiva i Indonesien. Se de tre templen dekorerade med reliefer som illustrerar Ramayana-eposet, tillägnad de tre stora hinduiska gudomligheterna (Shiva, Vishnu och Brahma) och tre tempel tillägnad djuren som serverar dem.

What an absolutely phenomenal day from start to finish! Our private guide, Bima, simply could not have been better. Friendly, professional and incredibly knowledgeable, he brought the history of Yogyakarta and Indonesia to life throughout the journey and was fantastic while guiding us around both Borobudur and Prambanan temples. Bima’s hospitality was exceptional, with great advice throughout the day and even a stop at a luwak coffee plantation, which was a fascinating once-in-a-lifetime experience. Nothing ever felt rushed and the whole tour felt completely personal. We finished the evening with the Ramayana Ballet at Prambanan before Bima dropped us safely back at our hotel after a very long day. A truly memorable experience and one of the highlights of our time in Indonesia. If you can request Bima as your guide, do it – he was outstanding!

We had a fantastic day visiting Borobudur, Prambanan, and the Ramayana Ballet, and Dani made the entire experience incredibly smooth and enjoyable. He arrived early, was always ready to pick us up as soon as we finished each activity, and made navigating what can sometimes feel quite busy and chaotic completely effortless. He always explained exactly where we needed to go and took care of all the logistics. Dani was also incredibly knowledgeable. On the drives between places and on the locations, he shared so much about Indonesian history and culture, particularly the Hindu and Buddhist temples, and was able to answer every question we had (and tell us plenty we wouldn’t have known to ask!). Since we had some extra time, he even took us to another temple, as well as a great place for lunch, dinner, and a stop to try the local Luwak coffee. Dani was polite, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and genuinely went above and beyond throughout the entire day. We couldn’t have asked for a better driver and guide. Highly recommend!

Everything was perfect from start to finish. The service was extremely comfortable and thoughtful, and he made sure we had the easiest possible experience throughout the day, taking us right to the entrances, having water available, and arranging the tickets for us. Very beautiful day, the visit to the 2 temples is done very well in one day. The evening show closes this beautiful day with a view of the Prambanan temple in the background. Awesome. The organization was top-notch. Picked up at the hotel at 8 a.m. as planned. Our driver Aris was very friendly, gave us good advice, and accompanied us during this day with kindness, top-notch!

This tour was exceptional and the guide (Bima) was phenomenal. Not only were the main sights (Borobudur and Prambanan) very impressive, the information that Bima shared really enriched the experience, and he was very pleasant to share a day with. His driving was very good, and after adding an interesting church visit in between the two main sites, he took us to a local bakery to sample amazing treats (and he made sure that our allergies were accommodated). The sunset at one of the temples near Prambanan, followed by a nice dinner and entertaining ballet, were the icing on the cake. We cannot recommend this tour highly enough, for the incredible sites but also thanks to the expertise and care of the guide!

The Prambanan Ramayana Ballet was an exceptionally holistic and unforgettable experience. Our guide Dani is really amazing. He is very warm and friendly and he is very knowledgeable in the history of different religions in this region. His explanation makes us appreciate the existence of the largest Buddhist temple Borobudur and the magnificent Prambanan Hindu temple in a predominantly Muslim country Indonesia.
