Apollo och Daphne – en marmorskulptur i barockstil i naturlig storlek, gjord av den italienske konstnären Gian Lorenzo Bernini och utförd 1622-1625. Detta verk, placerat i Borghese-galleriet i Rom, skildrar kulmen på Apollons och Daphnes historia (Phoebe och Daphne) i Ovids Metamorfos.
Pauline Bonaparte som Venus Victrix (eller Venus Victorious) är en halvnaken nyklassisk porträttskulptur i naturlig storlek av den italienske skulptören Antonio Canova. Den beställdes av Pauline Bonapartes make Camillo Borghese och avrättades i Rom från 1805 till 1808 efter att hon gift sig med representanten för familjen Borghese. Sedan flyttade skulpturen till Camillos hus i Turin, sedan till Genua, och anlände först till Galleria Borghese runt 1838.
Två byster av kardinal Scipione Borghese är porträttskulpturer i marmor skapade av Gian Lorenzo Bernini 1632. Båda versionerna av porträttet finns i Borghese-galleriet i Rom.
Truth Unveiled by Time är en marmorskulptur av Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Den utfördes mellan 1646 och 1652. Konstnären ville visa sanningen allegoriskt, som en naken ung dam som avtäcks av en Time-figur ovanför henne. En figur av Tid avrättades dock aldrig. Bernini lyckades uttrycka sin idé genom att lägga till figuren 1665.
David är en marmorskulptur i naturlig storlek av Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Kardinal Scipione Borghese gav den i uppdrag att dekorera Borghese-galleriet. Mästerverket färdigställdes på sju månader, från 1623 till 1624. Huvudämnet för skulpturen är den bibliska David, som är på väg att kasta stenen som ska fälla Goliat, vilket kommer att göra det möjligt för David att halshugga honom.

We arranged a small group guided tour at the Borghese Gallery for our group of 6 and all agreed it was the most incredible experience so far! What a treat it was to tour this beautiful museum in such uncrowded spaces (due to the strict time limit) and absolutely soak in the stunning beautify of it all! We learned so much from our incredible guide Martina (so sorry none of us could quite remember her name, but we all remember her kindness and knowledge and easy way of guiding us through the masterpieces). We came away six new fans of Bernini! An absolute must see when in Rome.

This tour was amazing. Our guide had so much knowledge and made the 2 hour tour very interesting. She shared really interesting details regarding the relationship between pieces of art in a single space and the rich history of the papal family. Highly recommended! Even my teen boys loved it.

Nice collection, the Berninis are spectacular. Tour took a full 2 hours but not much time to stop and admire, and skipped some rooms or moved quickly. But plenty of time with sculptures and Caravaggios. Good tour guide.

Our guide Alessandra was excellent. She was friendly, engaging and extremely knowledgeable. Through her expertise, she conveyed not just the factual information about the magnificent sculptures and paintings, but also the colourful stories behind them. The Borghese collection is fabulous in itself, but to have it brought to life through the personal details and backstory of the Borghese protagonists was delightful.
