This experience was much better than I expected. It included an instructional walk through the Golden Triangle of Bordeaux as we walked between local shops offering local products paired with local wines. Caviar, foie gras, meats, cheeses, baked specialties and artisanal chocolates: each treat paired with a different wine -- at least 8 different wines. Our excellent guide has some training as a sommelier and so we had our taste buds challenged in a gustatory game. Special requests were honored with extra stops. If you are ever in Bordeaux, take this tour. You will be surprised. Try everything: even if you think you don't like something ( like maybe foie gras you had in the past), listen to your guide's instructions on how to enhance the flavors and get ready to close your mouth and hum "Mmmmm!"

Excellent guide and tour. Plenty of delicious food and wine all with great explanations. Very nice pace that included stops in locally owned restaurants and stores. The guide provided a wonderful overview of the many wines in Bordeaux with excellent pairings that impressed so all. Very sweet group of guests too! The guide seemed like he really enjoyed what he does. We highly recommend his tour!!!!

Aure’lion was fantastic! It was a great tour and great value! So much food and tastings for the money! Far more than expected! Very knowledgeable of the town and eateries. Truly wonderful tour of local wines and delicacies. We also had an amazing full lunch. Tour owner is a sommelier and has excellent English, knowledgeable and fun.
