Bonita Cruise Lan Ha Bay 4 - Stjärnig lyx från Cat Ba 2dagar/1natt

This much better than the cruise we had just done on the Mekong. The transfer was a little confusing from the hotel and was a lot longer than told before. We finally got to the ferry and the weather turned not their fault. ferry not running monsoon rain and high winds. Ushered in a warehouse for an hour. Then told going on a speedboat then the cable car, our guide said hell NO! So we went on the speedboat and then transferred to our cruise boat. After doing the Mekong eyes it was a huge relief cabins a good size with good AC and nice wet room, although not able to user as water was cold. Lunch average and did not like the attempts to sell booze and if you bring even your own water to the table you get a corkage fee! I understand booze but water that is a first and I’m in the business. When i did order a bottle which was not cheap the waiter actually said oh the cheap one ! Sorry I do not drink red wine which they have on the table hoping you will buy it, very expensive. Meals average at best, breakfast poor. I should point out I own and run a 5 star B&B in the UK for over 20 years. Avoid the cooked oysters we was all ill after these😩🤢 Day out really good fun kayaking but a lot of rubbish but to be fair the guide was picking it out and encourage us to as well. We then moved it to a beach for collection. Not what a lot of people would expect but it’s good they are trying. The evening well what can I say after hours of travelling and a very early start all I wanted is bed but they do karaoke which only involved one American and the guide, unless others want to join in this should not happen, to be honest I think it should be dropped completely or unless everyone is up and joining in call it a day. Squid fishing seemed to be enjoyed. The howling went on until 10.30pm far too late after a long and exhausting day. Next morning after being kept up and then being ill through the night we are woken from a speaker 7am to staff talking for around 5 mins before we are told to go for breakfast! bit like hiddy Hi !!! I and my husband felt so rubbish we left the next trip out but the kids 18 and 14 wanted to go on a bike ride, with the rep and other guests. No bike helmets given out and my son 14 took a really bad fall either run over by the electric tram or crash with the same American guy that kept us up all evening acting the fool and by all accounts still was, and from I was told he did was involved in this happening. The guide had decided to opt out of this return ride saying they could go as fast as they liked, so no supervision. If I had known any of this I would have either have gone or stopped them going, he was with his sister aged 18. Thanks to the lovely red head mother and son (Australian) for helping my son, as she said it really could have been so much worse with the tram. The other guy involved in all this have your best time but think about others and bloody grow up, you put a 14 year boy at risk, ruined our time on board and the following week with my boy not able to do any trips or sightseeing. My son was actually was out for a bit and covered in cuts and bruises. This could have been great give out safety gear, don’t allow one guest to ruin it for everyone else, do not pressure people to buy booze. For the price the boat is nice
