Tillsammans med en professionell guide avgår ni från ert hotell till Chorro de Quevedo, stadens födelseplats, innan ni besöker ikoniska platser som det colombianska institutet för antropologi och historia, García Márquez kulturcenter, Casa de la Moneda och det berömda Botero-museet, som inrymmer den colombianska konstnärens mest ikoniska verk. Rutten fortsätter mot Teatro Colón, kyrkan San Ignacio och den majestätiska Plaza de Bolívar, huvudstadens historiska och politiska hjärta. Turen avslutas med ett besök på det magnifika Guldmuseet, som visar över 34 000 förspanska guld- och silverföremål, bevis på den kulturella rikedomen i forntida colombianska civilisationer. Bogotás guldmuseum rymmer en av världens viktigaste samlingar av förspanskt kulturarv, med mer än 30 000 föremål från ursprungskulturer. Grundades 1939 och administreras av Banco de la República, är det en kulturell ikon i Colombia. Destacan obras como la Balsa Muisca y el Poporo Quimbaya.
Museet ligger i ett restaurerat kolonialhus där målningar, skulpturer och diskussioner visas som återspeglar Boteros volymetriska stil och fulla personlighet, samt verk av Monet, Picasso och Dalí från deras privata samling.
Det är en kulturell mötesplats: kaféer, konstgator, shoppare och turister samexisterar i en pittoresk plats med ett starkt arv.

Colombia is lovely but Andrés made us fall in love with this land and obviously left us wanting to come back, by the way.. Andres makes some spectacular photos we get very good memories.
