Bogotá Bike Tour
Beskrivning
En fyra timmar lång utforskning på cykel av centrala Bogotá, under vilken vi besöker det historiska centrumet, La Candelaria, en traditionell fruktmarknad, en kaffefabrik, gatukonst och förhoppningsvis en omgång tejo, Colombias nationalsport. Vi kommer också att passera landmärken som stadsparker, Plaza de Toros, Museo Nacional och uppleva den ekonomiska och arkitektoniska mångfalden i olika stadsdelar. Halvvägs genom turnén stannar vi i Parque Nacional för att prova fruktsallader, juicer, grillat kött, majskolvar och andra traditionella colombianska gatumat. Rutten, på cirka 12 kilometer, är mestadels platt, och turen är avslappnad, med täta stopp.

Really great tour with Katerina. Was a nice way to get out and stretch our legs after the long flight from the UK. Tour was really interesting and the bikes were a great way to see the city up close and avoid the traffic delays. It was busy with pedestrians and other road users but we didn’t feel unsafe at any point. Tour was mostly flat so would be suitable for infrequent cyclists. Katerina was really friendly and gave a great tour whilst explaining all about Colombia and the city. Stops for coffee and fresh fruit were nice additions.
We embarked on a bike tour with a group of friends, and our guides, Mike and Manuel, were incredibly enthusiastic about sharing the rich history of Bogotá with us. It was an excellent way to explore the city, and I believe we managed to see more than we could have done on foot.
The tour was amazing! It was well organized by two local guides. During the 4.5-hour tour, Mike and Richard told us so much about street art, Escobar and his brother, the hippos, Justin Bieber (turning us into Beliebers in the process), Gabriel García Márquez, Botero, and so much more! The fruit market was fantastic, too; we got to taste 30 to 40 exotic fruit varieties that were new to us. Mike and Richard, thank you so much. You gave us an unforgettable day in Bogotá.

Had a nice strong ride with Omar. Such beautiful country up above the city of Bogota. The road we took was steep but well paved and with little traffic. Omar was an excellent guide, explaining things along the way to the Virgen de Guadalupe church on the summit. Beautiful views. We had the exhilarating downhill back to the shop. I would do it again!
Super fun bike ride with enthusiastic guide Mike. I especially loved the visit to the fruit market with tastings of about 25 South American fruit varieties. A recommendation to discover La Candelaria and its surroundings in 1 day with fun facts from a local.

Daniel was a fantastic guide, pointing out interesting artwork, layering historical knowledge and current social climate information to make it a truly rich and interesting tour. It also was full of surprises and enjoyment. We feel like we learned so much about Bogata and Columbia, all while enjoying an easy ride through the city that always felt safe and at a gentle pace, with a small group of other tourists, allowing for regular access to Daniel, who is an excellent ambassador. If you’re visiting with little time in bogata, this is an enjoyable and economical tour to learn a great deal in a short time.
A perfect way to discover the city! The fruit you could taste during the tour was amazing! So many flavors. We finish with a fun game of tejo. Very nice day!
