Vi erbjuder natursköna ridturer på de vackra svarta sandstränderna i Vík på södra Island. Vår Black Beach Riding Tour är en lättsam entimmesritt perfekt lämpad för nybörjare och personer som inte rider ofta, men vi välkomnar ryttare av alla förmågor. Våra hästar är vänliga och säkra, perfekt för att njuta av den vilda isländska terrängen. På sommaren finns chansen att se lunnefåglar flyga ovanför oss, och på vintern framhäver det ständigt växlande vädret landskapets karga skönhet. Turerna går oftast i gångfart, men för den som är kapabel finns chansen att prova lite tölt, Islandshästens speciella gångart. Observera att vi har en viktgräns på 100kg, och ryttare måste vara 10+. Vi värnar om våra hästars välbefinnande och förbehåller oss rätten att be ryttare att trampa på en våg. Vi ber er anlända till stallet 15 minuter före avgång.

Super cool. We ride horses on many other vacations but never Icelandic horses and their unique tolt gate. Glad to cross offf my bucket list. The horses were well behaved, and adorable - little crazy hair but what makes them so cute. The black beach is so unique.
We could not imagine our trip to Iceland without the excitement of this experience. The guides were so knowledgeable and patient. They told us how these revered Icelandic horses are protected and rested on vacations of their own. My horse Forseti - or president - was kind and a pleasure to spend time with. What a delight!

Was such a wonderful ride!! Though the weather was a little chilly, windy and rainy these horses are the hardest working sweetest animals!! We were so lucky to be able to still get to ride the beautiful black sand beach and experience Iceland at its finest! Highly recommended this incredible experience!!
This is a great way to see the beach and enjoy being on an Icelandic Horse for an hour. The horses are well-behaved and well-cared for, and the guides are friendly and knowledgeable. We stopped on the beach and they took pictures for everyone. I've read reviews complaining about the fact that you only walk. We have found this not to be true. There were three guides, in case some wanted to go faster (just for a few minutes, but we still got the experience of "tolting"), and other people wanted to stay back and go slower. If you are looking for a fast-paced long ride, find a private tour. I am an experienced rider and knew what the expectations were ahead of time, and was not disappointed. One other complaint I saw was that if you're late they do not wait for you. This is true. You need to get there 15 mintues early at a minimum to prepare. We left promptly at the top of the hour. If people are late, they are holding people up and they don't have the time for fitting a helmet and important instructions. I highly recommend Vik Horse Tour for a nice relaxing ride on the beautiful black sand beach.
The experience was awesome. The horses were well mannered and everyone working there seemed to know the horses different personalities and paired them with the best rider (based on skill and personality). I learned a good deal about Icelandic horses, got to see the Black Sand Beach and had a great experience. i highly recommend booking the latest time available to try and see the sunset.
We went out on a rainy windy day, the horses were steady and calm. The guides were amazing and supportive from start to finish. Wonderful experience!
Riding Icelandic ponies was a dream come true! The staff were very friendly, gave clear instructions for what to do and made all of us comfortable. The horses were so sweet and easy to ride! We even got to experience the Icelandic horse's tölt riding and that was so fun! It was cold and windy on the beach so my coat and waterproof fleece-lined pants were necessary and I stayed warm.
Wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and professional. I was solo and felt very comfortable! The horses are wonderful and riding out to the black sand shore was a true time to treasure!
This was a highlight of our trip and even though I have had limited exposure to horses and I’m in my late 50’s I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and felt that the instructions and guides were amazing
