Captain Mike was awesome! He was so informative - we learned about the area and how it supports this amazing bioluminescent wildlife. The comb jellies were incredible! He was kind and kept us captivated the whole tour. Would definitely tour with Captain Mike again!

He explained the biology behind the bioluminescence in a way that was both fascinating and easy to understand, so it felt like an amazing wildlife tour and a great learning experience all in one. As a local here I had heard about the Bioluminescent kayaking, but never took the time to do it. The experience was much more than I expected. I've used Cocoa Kayaking in the past for their mangrove tour in Cocoa beach. That tour was unbelievable as our guide was really informed and gave us a great tour. The bar was already high. I did a lot of vetting of other companies and decided to go with this one again. (Tip: Use their website to see when best times to go and call their office to see which place to use...Cocoa or Merritt Island) Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Which is the opposite of another company I was considering. Mike was our guide for this experience and he absolutely lived up to the past experience. His knowledge of the area and the bioluminescent was top notch. Clearly this company puts the customer experience first and has really knowledgeable people involved.

We had an incredible experience on the Bioluminescent Clear Bottom Kayak tour! As a family of six, we were amazed by the stunning bioluminescence in the water. The kayaks were comfortable and easy to maneuver, making it perfect for all ages. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, adding to the fun atmosphere. My wife, 5 year old son and I went on a bioluminescence kayak trip, it was an amazing experience. Captain Mike balanced weather considerations with local knowledge to deliver a wonderful tour. Price wise, it's very expensive, however for the unique bioluminescence experience specifically it's worth every penny.

Cocoa Kayaking was amazing from start to finish! Everyone was so helpful, friendly, accommodating and our guide, Mike was fantastic! My son had lots of questions for him and he was a wealth of wisdom, information, passion and kindness! We had the best tour! It was the evening tour and did the bioluminescence tour and it was super unique and interesting! I highly recommend Cocoa Kayaking.

Our guide, Captain Mike, was exceptional! One of the very best tour guides we’ve ever had, and we’ve had more than a few. Experienced, patient, funny, and loves what he does. Before we loaded into our glass bottomed kayak, he provided an overview of bioluminescence and the comb jellyfish (which also light up) we expected to see. He also explained that the darker it is, the greater chance of seeing both. We then kayaked to the darkest area under a bridge where he showed us how to trail our paddles, hands, and small nets through the water to activate the bioluminescence. The water lit up as if we were in Avatar! We also caught many comb jellies (all safely returned to the sea) and watched them glow in iridescent colors. My husband and I felt like kids, it was absolutely magical. Thank you, Captain Mike!

I went on a bioluminescent kayak tour a few weeks ago with some friends, just tagging along since my friend made all the arrangements. Chayse was our guide, and she was fantastic—keeping us safe, together as a group, and sharing cool info about the area. She knew where to go for the best glow. It was an unforgettable trip! When I got home and told my mom how amazing it was, she immediately wanted to go. So, twist my arm—I went again! This time I did my own research and made calls to several companies because I wanted to make sure my mom had the best experience possible. Cocoa Kayaking stood out, and they did not disappoint. On our second trip, we went during the week with Captain Michael. It was a smaller group, which made for a more personal experience. Mike was awesome—super knowledgeable and attentive, always making sure everyone was having a great time and getting their questions answered. Both trips were incredible, and the guides—Chayse and Mike—really made them special. I highly recommend Cocoa Kayaking for anyone considering a bioluminescent tour!
