Ingen resa till Jaipur skulle vara komplett utan ett besök på det världsberömda vindpalatset, Hawa Mahal. Det byggdes Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh för att hysa damerna vid det kungliga hovet. Dess berömda rosa pyramidformade fasad har många gallerfönster som möjliggjorde damer att se utanför men inte ses själva.
Tillbaka i den rosa staden är Jantar Mantar, Maharaja Jai Singhs enorma astronomiska observatorium, ett oslagbart resmål. Detta världsarv är fyllt med enorma solur och kantiga konstruktioner som användes av de kungliga astronomerna för att spåra solens, planeternas och konstellationernas rörelser. De säger att det centrala soluret kan säga tiden med en noggrannhet på inom 2 sekunder.
De flesta besökare till Jaipur vill se City Palace, som ligger bara ett par minuter från Jantar Mantar. Palatskomplexet inkluderar Chandra Mahal- och Mubarak Mahal-palatsen och andra byggnader, och är fortfarande hem för den kungliga familjen i Jaipur. Den byggdes av Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II när han flyttade sitt kungliga hov från Amber till Jaipur.

Mot slutet av dagen gillar många besökare att ta en lugn promenad runt Albert Hall Museum, Rajasthans statliga museum. Byggnaden är ett fint exempel på indo-saracensk arkitektur. Museet rymmer en rik samling av artefakter inklusive målningar, smycken, mattor, elfenben, sten, metallskulpturer och verk i kristall.
Inget besök i Rosa staden är komplett utan att se en av basarerna. Dessa livliga shoppinggator och gränder är fyllda med butiker och stånd som säljer allt du kan tänka dig, från kryddor, frukt, smycken och kläder, till traditionella handgjorda köksbestick. Du kan gå en stund om du vill, eller så kan vi bara köra genom basaren.

Naresh joined our group as a tour guide. His knowledge of Jaipur is extensive, his English is great and, best of all, he is just such a lovely man. You can’t go wrong with Naresh.

They arrange where they want to go and rotate efficiently. The explanation is also very easy to understand. Even if you have any travel problems, they will be happy to offer you advice. I will ask him again next time.
We spent a fantastic 12 days with Naresh driving through Rajasthan from Ranthambore to Jaiselmer! His English is perfect, and he is extremely thoughtful - he even stocks the car with refreshments! As two young girls travelling alone, he kept us very safe and always looked out for us! He is incredibly knowledgeable about the area, and he has a very inspiring life story.
Don’t be fouled by the ridiculously low price for a day spent exploring Jaipur. If you are looking for a personalised tour with someone to cover all of your needs in Jaipur and the surrounding areas, Naresh is your man 👍 His extensive knowledge of the city and area is amazing and he is so accommodating with what you desire for your time with him. He’s not a tour guide - But he’s a very knowledgeable driver and whatever and wherever your needs are he will go out of his way to help you. Advising on prices to pay, tours that may interest you or listening to a tale from his past. Naresh is the kindest, polite, helpful and humble person you could want to meet and we loved spending time with him. Five star plus service and a great sense of humour. We had a coffee with him and we even went to the supermarket with him for essentials that we needed for our upcoming days - Nothing was too much trouble. Naresh is highly recommended by us and he is a sincere, nice and wonderful person to meet and spend time with. What a great tour today with Naresh we had! Communication before the tour was great, and today he was prompt, friendly, helpful and good fun. He is very interesting and great company for the day. Perfect chap for us, as we didn't want a full guide, just some information about the different sights we wanted to see. Naresh was flexible in dropping some places and adding others according to our preferences, which was great. Importantly (for us) was the fact that he did not take us into any shops in order to receive commission. He absolutely does not entertain this, but of course if there is anywhere that you want to visit, just let him know. When he dropped us at a sight he would say exactly where we were to go and remind us how much to pay, which was great as twice we were asked for more by the ticketers. We enjoyed masala chai and samosas with him, where the locals eat, as we requested. Honestly can't recommend him highly enough, a real good guy and a safe, careful driver. Thanks Naresh, you're a star!

We absolutely loved our tour with Rauf. Not only did Naresh help us to get in contact with Rauf but he gave us the best driver we could’ve asked for. From a great sense of, friendly nature and a great sense of humor, to making us feel safe as women traveling in India, we were blown away by his hospitality and patience.
