As first-time travelers to Italy, my wife and I were a bit nervous about navigating such a busy system. However, the 1CityTours team made the entire experience incredibly easy. They were easy to locate, friendly, and very helpful. We purchased the skip-the-line tickets without an audio tour and instead used the free Rick Steves audio guides for the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica, a combination I highly recommend! The 1CityTours team guided us smoothly through the crowds and security, answering all of our questions along the way. I would absolutely recommend this team.

Overall, it was a really great experience and it was really nice not to have to be a part of a tour, mainly because all the tours were no less than four hours….. and often all the tours would cluster together in a very small room. It was very overstimulating, so it was really nice to be able to just walk away and move on when we wanted to. Also, the Vatican itself has headphones and information about the place for purchase to go through the museum if you would rather that than a tour. Little disappointed by the disorganization as far as how many different tour groups and how many different lines that were clustered around the area to get in. The meeting area was not very specific at all, so we almost missed our time slot because all of the tour companies were all clustered together on the same side of the street that the meeting location was said to be. But overall, the experience itself was really incredible and is a must see,

The organisation of visitor flows, queues, and access inside the museums is managed directly by the Vatican Museums staff and is outside our control. Extremely hard to find the meeting point as its a young man with an umbrella who disappears so you are left to be told to wait for him to come back. The museum was good but there is alot of walking for the amount you actually see.

Our staff do not leave guests waiting without assistance: at the scheduled entry time, they must accompany the guests who arrived on time to the Vatican Museums entrance. Guests arriving later may need to wait briefly at the meeting point until the staff member has completed this entrance assistance and returns. The tour guide was the best! I had forgotten to switch my mom's name with my niece's name when my mom couldn't come on the trip due to her health. He spoke with a very nice lady at the check-in point who let my niece in with me to buy a ticket instead of making her wait outside in an extremely long line. I highly recommend this excursion.

It is over 3 miles of walking until there is a bathroom and water refill. Men have to cover their knees in the Sistine Chapel.

The line was very Quick. There is no guide or audio. Tou have to wait for the company to give you the entries 15 min before your entry time.

Tour guide was easy to find and helpful getting us into the Vatican Museum very quickly. But after that we were on our own. So a bit disappointed. Took a while to get our bearings. Took over an hour to traverse the Museum to finally get to the Sistine Chapel. My suggestion. Create a tour that is a “Super EXPRESS Tour.” Takes you directly to just the Sistine Chapel. See the frescos and in and out. Fast and easy. Absolutely NO ONE follows the rules about women attire or photographs. Shameful.
