This was a great tour!!! A MUST SEE !! Visitors definitely need to do the Beefeater tour!!! Out Beefeater was Chris ~ and he was awesome!!! Very animated and made it so fun - even though there was a lot of bloody stores about the Tower of London!! You’ll definitely want to go in the morning. It gets busy in the afternoon. The Crown Jewels is where the most traffic is - but well worth it!! To fully explore it you probably need about 3 hours to really enjoy it!! We plan to go back - to see it all!! Had to catch a flight so had to cut our visit shorter than we would’ve liked!! Overall, this was one of our favorites!!! And using Viator was very convenient!! The meeting point for the tours needs to be a little more “obvious”! I was worried we were going to miss our tour - but the Beefeaters appear every 30 minutes so if you miss your time slot - there are other opportunities!! GREAT TOUR!! So much history!!!!
Great historical moment. Audio tour is interesting. If you have mobility issues you are limited by many stars. Especially into the white tower. The Crown Jewels were fantastic.
Plan to spend hours here. There is so much to see, read and hear. There were people of all ages enjoying themselves.
This is not a tour of Edinburgh castle. It is merely an entry into castle and a short speech on the history. You do not go to the various areas. It is absolutely not worth the money. Also, gave us tickets for younger kids when we paid for tickets for older kids.
Nice day excursion, you can go fast or mosey along.
A lot to see, expect to be there for 2 ish hours or more If you really want to take in the full experience. Beefeater tour guide was funny, make sure to tack onto their free tours. I recommend doing the crown jewels pretty early or towards closing, cause the queue will be long and it will be too busy to get a close view of the jewels. Gift shop memorabilia was pretty reasonable priced, would recommend. Food court pretty good with adequate options. Would recommend.
When you first arrive, definitely start your journey with the Beefeater. They are a wealth of knowledge and know the history of the Tower. After the conclusion of the Beefeater’s presentation, it’s a self-guided walk thru the Tower. Visit the Crown Jewels, and learn of their history. Look for the Ravens outside on your walk, just do not feed them as they do bite. We were warned of that several times. Obviously there were some patrons who visited well before us who didn’t listen. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes as well. Enjoy your trip!!
We had beefeater409 and he was very good and very funny
What an experience. This is a must do if visiting London. Full of history and culture. I personally did not want a guide and so when I came across this it was perfect. Additionally a free tour was provided inside which I suggest checking out. Anyone that does this should go at 9am and first see thr Crown Jewels as the queues for Crown Jewels gets really big throughout the day. The entire day was breathtaking even in the heat and the views and sights are awesome.
We started our tour first thing in the morning. We went straight to see the crown jewels. It was not as crowded as we saw later in the day. The visit was an absolute great experience.
