Bilbao och Biscayabukten från San Sebastian

Beskrivning

Mikel was a wonderful guide, so knowledgeable about the area and very enjoyable to be with. He also went above and beyond providing us with other recommendations for our entire stay.
An absolutely perfect day in Basque Country with the best guide! Andoni was so knowledgeable, thoughtful, and engaging. He went above and beyond to show us multiple lovely towns and provides historical insight. He also gave us great recommendations for the rest of our trip. Highly recommend!!
Thanks Michael! It was great meeting you!
Our tour guide, Daniel, picked us up at the hotel and drove us to BILBAO where we took-in some views of the city and then made our way to the centerpiece of our visit - The Guggenheim. All I can say is The Museum itself (the building) is THE ART and all the amazing art inside it's walls seems to be there in a supporting role... what an amazing building; what an inspiring space. After a couple of hours in the Guggenheim, we proceeded to the coastline and took pictures in beautiful and historical locations such as Bakio, Bermeo before ending up in a picturesque, country restaurant called Almiketxu, which specializes Basque cooking including grilled meats and fresh fish - food was delicious and all paired perfectly with the local TXAKOLI wine. An amazing day made perfect by our knowledgeable guide who took the time to ask questions so he could adapt the day according to our interests. I recommend this tour and specially recommend our guide Daniel Gonzalez.
We really enjoyed the trip through the Basque Country with Trendtours at the beginning of June. Everything was very well organized. The cities are very clean and worth seeing.
We took a Baskme private tour which was excellent. Andoni was extremely informative and knowledgeable, and looked after us very well.
We had never been to Basque contry....best part was our guide Iker Bardaji and the tour company that he works with Baskme, private tours....after Iker of course was the Amazing Guggenheim Museum....you have to see it to believe it....then there was the history of the Basque people, their language, culture, their food. Iker was totally flexible with his time and how long....we chose not to walk to the Game of Thrones Island....that would have taken way too long....had a great lunch in the small town there. Hake fish in a green sauce, delicious and of course local wine. Charles (Tom) Thompson and Prima Penalosa
Daniel is an excellent tour guide, He provided us with a memorable, day-long tour of the Basque region around San Sebastian. We especially appreciate the invaluable information that made our time at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao a highlight of our trip. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the Basque region. We highly recommend Daniel.
Andoni, our private tour guide, was very informative and efficient. Took us to the charming town of Bilbao..Guggenheim museum was a great work of art. We made a quick trip to Zumaia, a Game of thrones picturesque film location. Our guide even went out of his way to book us a delicious lunch at the famous, Kaia Kaipe and introduced us to a local drink called Txakola. He Excellently provided us with all the information we needed to know about our tour and much more. Eskerrik asko, Andoni!
Andoni was an amazing tour guide- knowledgeable, relaxed, and flexible to give us options when we wanted to grab coffee and a snack. It was a pleasure to go to this area with an experienced local who could tell us all the helpful, important stuff. I really enjoyed having lunch at the Game of Thrones rock area. And Andoni gave us restaurant recommendations in San Sebastian which were all spot-on. We ended up going to at least 2-3 of his recommended restaurants and really enjoyed each one.
Could not recommend this tour enough! The sights (including stops at Bilbao’s Guggenheim museum, San Juan Gaztelugatxe, Mundaka beach, and Guernica), are breathtaking. The highlight for our family, however, was being able to learn about the Basque culture and history from Mikel, our guide, who gamely answered all our questions and made us feel as though we were touring with a knowledgeable friend. If you get the opportunity to visit the region, definitely book your tours through BaskMe.
