Vi börjar vår turné med en biltur runt murarna i Gamla stan i Rhodos - den största bebodda medeltida staden i Europa. Den byggdes på 1300-talet från riddarna av Johannesorden. Den medeltida staden Rhodos är inskriven på UNESCO:s världsarvslista. Om du vill kan vi förlänga turnéns längd med 1 timme och du kan också ha lite ledig tid att gå genom Gamla stan och utforska den på egen hand.
Mandraki hamn ligger i den nya delen av staden där du kommer att se några mycket imponerande monumentala byggnader byggda av italienarna. Här vid hamnen ingången trodde att en gång stod den stora statyn av kolossen av Rhodos - en av de sju underverk i den gamla världen. Vi kommer att sluta för bilder av området.
Kyrkan av Annunciation i Rhodos är den största ortodoxa kyrkan i staden med mycket vackra handgjorda målningar på väggarna och spektakulära ljuskronor.
När vi når Monthe Smith Hill, kommer du att njuta av enastående panoramautsikt över staden och stranden, och även besöka ruinerna av Apollo-templet, den imponerande gamla forntida stadion och amfiteatern.
Lite innan vi når den vackra traditionella byn Lindos kommer din förare att stoppa dig på en plats för en fantastisk panoramautsikt över byn tillsammans med Akropolis på toppen. Därefter lämnar vi dig vid ingången till byn. Du kommer att ha minst en och en halv timme för att utforska den och naturligtvis, besök sin berömda Akropolis. Föraren kommer att vänta på dig på exakt plats han lämnade dig.
Akropolisen i Lindos är den näst mest populära Akropolis i Grekland efter Parthenon i Aten. Det byggdes på en brant klippa 116 meter höjd med utsikt över Blåhavet och byn Lindos nedanför. Akropolis domineras av det massiva templet Athena Lindia, från det 4: e århundradet och uppnådde sin slutliga form runt 300 f.Kr.
Ett stopp vid den pittoreska St Paul's Bay ingår också. Det hävdas att St Paul landade här i år 51 AD för att predika kristendomen till Rhodiansna. Det finns en liten kyrka byggd där efter hans namn. Vi kommer att stoppa bilder för att fånga denna fantastiska vy.

We had a wonderful day on Rhodes island. We were picked up at the cruise port in a very comfortable vehicle. Our guide, Aga, was very informative and provided us with lots of information on the history of the island and current life on the island. We started from the cruise port and made a photo stop at Rhodes old town. After several stops at different viewpoints we visited the Rhodes acropolis and then drove to Lindos. We stopped for refreshments and took lively photos of Lindos and the Lindos acropolis. The visit to Savvas pottery was also very informative and pleasant. The return trip to Rhodes along the coast was very interesting. We could see all the developments and tourist places. Our guide knew where to take us to miss the crowds. The tour ended in Rhodes old town where we had free time. We left the island feeling that we made the best of a one day visit. All thanks to our informative guide.

We had an absolutely fabulous private driving tour of Rhodes yesterday, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Our guide, Nikolas, is a lifelong local — born and raised on Rhodes — and it showed. His knowledge of the island was incredible, and he had endless stories and information to share about the history, culture, and hidden corners of the island. We accidentally went to the wrong meeting point at the start, but Ellie was super responsive and helpful, and Nikolas came to pick us up within five minutes of us reaching out. It set the tone for a day where nothing was a problem. Since we were staying a bit further out, we adjusted the itinerary slightly to fit in a few extra sights, and Nikolas was completely flexible about it. The real highlight was when he ended up driving us through his own village — completely off the planned itinerary — because we kept asking questions about it. We got to see some incredible UNESCO sites tucked away there that we never would have found on our own. This was such a personal, authentic experience rather than a typical tour. Nikolas clearly loves sharing his island with visitors, and it made all the difference. We’d do this again in a heartbeat and would recommend this company to absolutely anyone visiting Rhodes.

Nikolas was a phenomenal guide!! Can’t say enough great things about the day… We accidentally met at the wrong meeting point & Ellie kindly coordinated with Nikolas to pick us up at the alternative location within 5 minutes. We had a fabulous day exploring the best of Rhodes. It was even better that we personalized the tour a bit as we were staying in Lindos so rather than including it on our tour, we added a few additional spots such as butterfly valley - amazing suggestions from Ellie and wonderfully executed by Nickolas. This tour more than met our expectations. Our tour guide, Mr. Aga was excellent. The tour took us from the city of Rhodes through the town of Old of Rhodes to Lindos and back to our cruise ship. Mr. Aga’s knowledge of the whole area was impressive. He also knew the cultural history, historical history and the sites to take us to. We saw the exact point where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Aegean from a high hill at the top of Rhodes. It was an incredible site to see. I am mobility impaired, and Mr. Aga took this into consideration at every every site we stopped at. He was very aware of this and made accommodations for me. He stopped for lunch at a place that was not a tourist area. The food was excellent. The prices were reasonable. We would highly recommend this tour as there is no way we could’ve seen all the things we were able to see on our own in the time allotted by our cruise stop.
