Kanjonen Nazaré, en naturlig formation som gör ett enormt djupt och stort hål i havsbotten precis intill strandlinjen, skapar massiva vågor som gör denna plats, Praia do Norte, till ett Meca för äventyrliga surfare över hela världen. Kanjonen döljer också en nazistisk ubåt, som sänktes där med avsikt för att aldrig hittas igen... Vi kommer också att besöka helgedomen och minneskapellet och kommer att kunna ha en fantastisk utsikt över Nazaré och en stor del av Silver Coast-stranden (ända till Berlengasöarna). Sist men säkert inte minst kommer du också att lära känna Nazaré själv, en unik traditionell fiskeby, dess smala gränder mot havet och dess gamla traditioner som "torrfisken" och de förbryllande "sevärdheterna" ” av lokala kvinnor som bär sina berömda sju kjolar.

We had a great time on this private Tour of Nazare. Our tour guide, João Pedro gave us a great background of the history of this charming seaside fishing town which is now world famous for its huge waves in the winter. We visited many of the sites in the city ending at the famous lighthouse overlooking the huge surf beach. We highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting this beach city.

We had a fantastic experience with Joao Pedro (JP). He knows the town of Nazaré so well, having grown up in the town--and returning to live here after working abroad.
