På denna turné utforskar vi Nationalparken ”Blue Eye” och The Fortress Lekuresi. Båda platserna är attraktiva turistplatser, båda rika på historia och skönhet. Det är ett mycket pittoreskt område, där kristallklart vatten strömmar ut från berget Mali i Gjërë. Den här faktiska våren är den största och mest intressanta källan bland de andra 18 fjädrarna som rinner från Mali i Gjërë. Det har förklarats som ett naturligt monument och har en oval form som liknar formen på ett öga. Våren har stort djup, som går upp till 50 meter, och det är omgivet av tät och frodig vegetation. Sammantaget erbjuder området en fantastisk tid för vuxna och barn.

Så oväntat spektakulärt som södra Albaniens kust är (och det är fantastiskt!) Vad du kan förvänta dig att se finns sevärdheter som påminner om Medelhavet mer än tropikerna. Men som vi nu vet är Albanien det oväntade landet! Landet döljer sitt lilla tropiska paradis, kallat det blå ögat (på albanska: Syri i Kaltër). Kanske den mest hisnande vackra synen i Albanien, Blue Eye ligger ungefär en 30-minuters bilresa från kuststaden Saranda på vägen till Gjirokastra (alla platser att se, förresten!). Visst överraskar överraskningsfaktorn skönheten i hela upplevelsen. Att hitta tropikerna i Albanien är ingen liten prestation! Det kanske är meningslöst att beskriva denna surrealistiska skönhets mångfald och djup, men man måste försöka! Landskapet som leder till Blue Eye upptäcker denna anomali i naturen, eftersom du kommer att omges av palmer, vilda ormbunkar och tropiska växter, liksom tät, bergig skogsvegetation av ekar och sjökor, på en gång! Denna vegetation hålls frodig och härlig av våren som strömmar nerför berget till floden Bistrica. Totalt arton fjädrar är spridda utmed sidan! Fjärran från sötvatten från Gjerë (på engelska: Wide) berget rinner in i Blue Eye och skapar en naturlig pool med djup på cirka 50 meter. Eller så säger de! Det faktiska djupet har ännu inte fastställts. Många dykare har försökt komma till botten av det, utan nytta.
Besök för utsikt över Sarandas stad och Ksamilöarna från dess abborre på ett berg. Allt som återstår av slottet är dess forntida väggar, men en liten restaurang som ligger inuti har omvandlat en del av ruinerna till en restaurangterrass. Från detta kafé kan du njuta av utsikt över havet och staden nedan när du provar det traditionella köket. Du kanske måste gå till baren för att beställa under den livliga högsäsongen. Inträde till slottet är gratis och du kan vandra runt stenmurarna, men bära lämpliga vandringsskor för att skydda dina fötter från borsten och klipporna. I called to book a day tour to Lekursi castle, Blue Eye and Gjirokaster last minute. Leka Tours were able to give me a tour the next day. Customer service is excellent, they communicated to me swiftly. The lovely female tour guide was extremely knowledgable and informative. She was also kind and friendly. I learnt a lot about Albanian history, geography and culture from her. It was also a hot day, the minivan was comfortable, had AC and charging ports. If you are in Sarande I would highly booking a day tour with Leka Tours. Thank you to Leka Tours for accommodating me. Our tour of the Blue Eye with Halil was incredible. There were no extra costs and he was so knowledgeable about the history of every site he took us to. The tour lasted around 2 hours, and Halil was so lovely and accommodating to our requests. We would come back just for halil
Highly recommend this tour! It completely exceeded our expectations. The transportation was comfortable, Halii was an amazing guide. He was knowledgeable, friendly, passionate, and had a great sense of humor, which made the whole trip even more enjoyable. He shared lots of interesting stories and facts along the way, and at the Blue Eye he didn't just leave us on our own—he took the time to explain things and chat with everyone. We also got to stay at the castle until sunset, and the view was absolutely beautiful. Definitely worth it! Btw the Blue Eye entrance fee was included.

Halil was our guide and he was so nice and looked out for us the whole time. Halil was incredibly knowledgeable and we learned so much on this tour. I highly recommend the tour more people should do it. Blue eye was beautiful don’t go expecting it to be big and full of activities.. it’s more so a nice place to take in nature and relax from the busy world we are in. Halil also took us to the castle and there we had amazing views.
