Din tur börjar utanför katedralens huvudingång. Därifrån går du runt den pittoreska katedralen ön för att se var i medeltida tider, kan förseelser komma undan rättvisa. När du går, kommer din guide att ge insikt om varför hundratals år sedan, hertig och präst valde att bo på ön och varför katedralen är inte en ö längre.
Du kommer att se kyrkan St. Giles - den äldsta befintliga kyrkan i Wroclaw. Det lutande tornet i Wroclaw och Dumpling Gate. Några steg bort, väntar en entré till 1800-talets botaniska trädgårdar för dem som gillar att utforska parker och natur.
Vidare kommer du att stanna vid ärkebiskopens palats för att lyssna på en fantastisk historia om en modig kardinal som 1980 stod för 80 miljoner zloty för solidaritetsrörelsen och därefter vad som hände med pengarna.
Tvärs över gatan ser du en tvåstegsbyggnad. Detta är en av de vackraste gotiska kyrkorna i Silesia-området - Kyrkan Heliga Korset och Bartholomew med en kopia av Turinskalvet gömd inuti. Du kommer att slutföra din turné på katedralen ön som passerar Tumski Bridge, som representerar gränsen för kyrkans jurisdiktion och leder till Sand Island där du kommer att se den monumentala kyrkan Our Lady on the Sand.

My 14 year old daughter and I are visiting the city for the first time and are absolutely taken in with the beauty of the place. We did the tour with Anna and had a fantastic time. Anna didn't feel like a tour guide, she honestly felt like a friend who was introducing us to her city for the first time. Her knowledge of the history of the islands, the churches, the people was outstanding. But more than that, she made the experience enjoyable. We felt like we were being hosted. I really can't thank her enough for making our stay here even more meaningful. I HIGHLY recommend this tour!

Cathedral Island is just beautiful. Impressive buildings. Already the walk over the bridge, with the beautiful gas lanterns is an experience. Here too you can spot dwarfs 😉. Unfortunately, the gastronomy is hampering. We were not served, although we waited 1 hour at the table and the crowd was not even that big. Too bad, therefore only 4 points.
It was a very informative tour. You get a lot of insider knowledge and area. I really learned slot and enjoyed it. I like knowing what I am looking at and get a better appreciation of the city

My husband and I did this wonderfully informative walking tour with Anna on a bustling Sunday in Wrocław. Anna was passionate and knowledge about the history of the churches on these islands and we very very very privileged to have Anna to ourselves and hear anecdotes and learn some of Wrocław’s rich history. We saw three chapels at St John the Baptist Cathedral that were richly decorated and concluded our tour at The Church of the Lady of the Sand. Highly recommended.

A very interesting walk around the islands of Wroclaw. Anna the tour guide made the tour both fun and informative. This area is the most beautiful of the city. You will learn the history of the islands and the city. Also you will discover a few hidden gems. The tour lasted for two hours.

We toured 4 beautiful old churches. The tour guide provided plenty of history of each church and the area we were in. Very easy walking tour. Wroclaw is a charming city worth visiting. These are some of the most beautiful churches I have ever visited

Overwhelmed by the charming beauty of this small, hidden gem. We loved the churches as well as the beautiful architecture on the square. Lots of places to eat and visit in the area. You'll need at least three days to do the city justice. Start with a walking tour and decide to go from there. Everything is walking distance, you won't want a car because parking is horrible.

We were staying in a place in the new part of town, dating from the communistic period. The buildings there look all the same. We dicided to walk to Cathedral island. It was a breath of fresh air to walk through the park close to the river. Families and couples sitting or playing on the grass just a few hundred meters from the busy traffic. After you cross the bridge, you jump back in time. Beautiful historic buidings are dominated by a impressive cathedral. The only thing that is disturbing this dream is the amount of tourists (individual or in groups) that try to make selfies. But even then it is a place worth visiting.
