We recently did the Benog Tibba trek in Mussoorie as a family, and it was hands-down one of the best experiences of our trip The trail itself is absolutely beautiful, winding through lush pine forests and offering stunning, panoramic views of the mountains. It has the perfect balance of a rewarding challenge and family-friendly trekking, making it manageable and enjoyable for everyone. What truly made this trek exceptional, though, was our guide, Ritesh. From the very start, Ritesh was incredibly professional, warm, and attentive. He knew the trail like the back of his hand and paced the trek perfectly so that none of our family members felt rushed or exhausted. He was filled with great stories about the local wildlife and geography, which kept everyone entertained along the way. Ritesh went above and beyond to ensure our safety and comfort, always checking in on us and making sure we took breaks at the most scenic spots. His energy and hospitality turned a great hike into an unforgettable memory for our family. If you are planning to trek Benog Tibba, we highly recommend doing it, and absolutely ask for Ritesh to guide you. Thank you, Ritesh, for taking such wonderful care of our family

We had a lovely trek to Benog Hill with Rohan. He was very interactive and had deep knowledge of the history of the town along with many trees, plants and animals of the forest. He shared many interesting anecdotes about the town and shared many folk stories about the hills. I would definitely recommend this trek and Rohan as a Guide to my friends and family.

Rohit was my guide and he was the absolute best. He knew the trail like the back of his hand and went at a pace that was very comfortable for me. He knew an endless amount about all the flora and fauna and guided me up to this small Hindu temple at the top of the mountain. It was beautiful with snow covered Himalyas in the distance. He went above and beyond by additionally helping me find a taxi to the airport the next day.
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback. It was a pleasure to have you as our guest for the hike. Visit again for some other adventure in India. Warm Regards - Rohit.
We did two treks in and around Mussoorie with Rohit after he was recommended by our hotel as a guide. We wanted something a bit longer (10-15km) than what is usual here and Rohit accommodated this. We did the Benog Tibba trek but didn’t take the usual (shortest) route up, instead took a very scenic route around the mountain including forest, ridge and trail to the top. Very few take this route so we were fully alone and it felt quite wild. The best part was the knowledge and stories of the surrounding areas that Rohit shared, explaining everything from flora, fauna, local customs and history - we got an incredible insight along with a beautiful hike, which is what sets a great guide apart from someone just showing you the way. Ritesh also came along as an intern learning the ropes and to take photos. He was great value and being in his early 20s told us a lot about what it’s like growing up in India as Gen Z today - super interesting. On the way back from the trek Rohit recommended a great cafe that we stopped to have lunch at all together. Fantastic day out! Given the success of the first day we signed up again the next day to do a sunrise hike up Top Tibba, getting picked up before dawn and trekking up in the dark. With perfect timing we arrived at the top just as the sun was rising with spectacular views and enjoyed a packed breakfast before coming back down a different way. Again a fantastic trek with Rohit. Our previous experience in India and some other parts of Asia is that I can be sometimes quite hard to get out in nature and do a good long hike. Things tend to be quite regimented, the infrastructure quite limited or locals surprised that you want to take the long route (likely also due to our own inexperience). This is where a good guide really makes the difference and Rohit absolutely delivered. We will definitely be back to India and will ask him to help organize whatever we do, as he is a brilliant guide with amazing knowledge of the country and clearly a passion for the job. Highly recommend to anyone. Thanks Rohit and Ritesh for a great few days.

Benog Tibba trek is a must do trek when in Mussoorie. The views while trekking especially of the snow clad Himalayas make the whole trail even more beautiful. Kudos to Rohit who was our guide for his knowledge on the flora and fauna. He made the trek even more interesting with his facts and story telling. He is also very easy going and friendly. We definitely recommend booking this trek with Rohit and his team.
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback. It Means a lot to us. Thank you for being our guests. Visit again. Thanks & best regards - Rohit.
Mild to moderate difficulty trek, accessible from Mussoorie. Time to the top, around 4 kms from the starting point takes about 2 hours and the complete trek ,4 hours. Clouds End, Everest Point etc are visible from the trek path. Benog hill is mostly covered with oak trees, with rhododendron trees interspersed in between. There are a few pine and deodar trees as well. You get to see few wildflowers like Hairy Virginia ( Pattharchat in local lingo), Daisies and Feonly ( I hope I got this right!). The top has a small temple dedicated to Devi Jwalamukhi. Our guide, Yash, was very knowledgeable, knew all the flora and fauna in details and also regaled us with stories behind the naming of the flowers etc.
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback. It Means a lot to us. Thank you for being our guests. Visit again. Thanks & best regards - Rohit.
