Morgonen är Beirut – vid havet, landmärken i centrum, en moské och katedral som delar samma torg, romerska baden mitt i en återuppbyggd stad och den avsiktligt oreparerade fasaden från inbördeskriget som berättar mer om landet än en veckas läsning. Eftermiddagen är Choufbergen – Beiteddinepalatset, ett av de finaste 1800-talspalatsen i arabvärlden, och Deir el Qamar, Libanons första huvudstad och en av de bäst bevarade ottomanska byarna i landet. Lunch ingår i Deir el Qamar. En Guide kopplar ihop allt. Beiteddinepalatset – Libanons presidentpalats Byggd mellan 1788 och 1840 av emir Bashir II - härskaren som enade Libanons bergsfraktioner. Tre sammanlänkade innergårdar med handhuggna kakel och snidade tak av cederträ. Under palatset: Libanons finaste samling av bysantinska mosaiker – golvpaneler av extraordinär kvalitet som de flesta besökare går rakt förbi. I dag Libanons presidents officiella sommarresidens. Deir el Qamar – Libanons första huvudstad, går fortfarande Betyder "Månens kloster" — en ottomansk by av honungssten som fungerade som Libanons första huvudstad under Ma'andynastin och är fortfarande en av de mest perfekt bevarade historiska byarna i landet. Kullerstenstorget inramas av 1600- och 1700-talsherrgårdar. En moské och en kyrka står meter från varandra – fyra århundraden av samexistens i en enda sluttningsvy. Another amazing trip with our guide Albert! Of Beirut including the national museum, the blue mosque and the Star square. Then we journeyed to the Beiteddine palace and Deir el Qamar, beautifully constructed places with lots of history. Relaxed with a delicious lunch and even managed to explore some of Lebanon’s famous beer! A wonderful trip all tourists need to explore! Don’t forget to ask for Albert! He’s a legend tour guide always laughs and smiles on his tours!

The driver, Albert, was waiting for us on time. After a very pleasant chat to get to know the three of us, we arrived at the Beiteddine hall. The great weather helped us on the tour of the palace. We learned a lot of interesting facts and Albert was able to answer all the questions we had. In Deir el Qamar, after a good meal, we visited several sites with stunning views. The return trip went very well.
With red tiled roofs, winding streets, and traditional stone houses, the village of Deir El Qamar (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) epitomizes idyllic mountain charm. It also highlights the religious diversity in Lebanon, with a mosque, a church and a synagogue all taking residence in its main square. Enjoy a stroll around the village, starting in the historic main square, where jousting tournaments took place during the Crusades.

We had a lovely day with Beirut Daily tours visiting 3 historical cities, Beirut, Beiteddine and Deir el Qamar. We where pickup from our hotel and we were the only ones on the Tour. Nice scenery and delicious lunch.
So happy to have seen Pidgeon rocks, especially in soft morning light for beautiful pictures. Deir El Qamar and Beiteddine palace were so very beautiful and I felt I was transported back in time. Had some amazing photos at the palace. And one of the best lunches ever which I haven't haven't experienced in other countries. This was my 2nd tour with this company and so pleased both times. A BIG thanks to our guide & driver Rabiye who got us back to our hotels safely during the protests. We couldn't finish the city tour bc of protests but so thankful to make it back into city!
