The size of the group was nice at 7 and the information provided was interesting and pertinent. The tour was as long as advertised but left me wanting more. The best part of the tour was Jaki, the historian leading the tour. She was friendly, knew her stuff and engaged all of us throughout the visit. Oh, and the wine tasting was yummy!
This was a great tour and both my 22-year-old daughter and I really enjoyed it. Wines are very sweet, but good. Beautiful grounds. Great visual aids and stories.

The Belle Meade Mansion was super easy to get to from Nashville, I didn’t have a car so I caught the #3 B bus and the stop is just outside the main entrance (make sure you get off at the correct stop as the same stop name for a few stops beforehand and there is no path for walk alongside the main road) which then gave me a chance to walk through some of the grounds and look at the exhibits before the actual tour. The tour of the mansion itself is as very informative and enjoyable to learn the history of the family and mansion. The wine tasting gave a sample of 3 wines, you can purchase more and there was a guitarist in the garden singing which was lovely on the Sunday afternoon I was there.
Beatifully preserved buildings and grounds at Belle Meade. Our tour guide Jason, provided a great review of Civil war history. There are several different tour options, and sample wine tasting at the end of each tour.

We had a great experience on this tour and learned quite a bit! Fischer was our historian and he was incredibly knowledgeable. He was also an engaging speaker and gave detailed responses to our questions. Highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in history or looking for a meaningful way to learn more about the civil war.
Tom was a great tour guide, and he was easy to converse with about everything! Loads of fun!
