Ge dig ut på en oförglömlig resa genom de charmiga städerna Barcelos, Braga och Guimarães, ad ha en provsmakning av norra Portugal. Barcelos – En stad fylld av färg och kreativitet. Känd för sin traditionella keramik och den legendariska Barcelostuppen. Braga – känt som det ”portugisiska Rom” för sin otroliga koncentration av religiösa landmärken och arkitektoniska underverk. Med sin blandning av gamla traditioner och modern charm är Braga ett perfekt resmål för dem som fascineras av historia, kultur och religion. Guimarães – Vi avslutar er resa i Guimarães, den historiska staden som kallas ”Portugals födelseplats”. Med sin välbevarade medeltida arkitektur och charmiga gator erbjuder Guimarães en inblick i landets förflutna samtidigt som det visar upp sitt fridfulla moderna liv.

På torsdagar har du möjlighet att besöka Portugals största marknad. Denna marknad äger rum mitt i Barcelos centrum.
Vi kommer att besöka denna barockkyrka med sina vackra blå kakel och gyllene sniderier. Denna kyrka är känd för sin legend om ett mörkt träkors.
Ett av stadens gamla försvarstorn. På toppen av tornet har du en vacker utsikt över barockträdgårdarna och marknadstorget. Inne i tornet finns en intressant konsthantverksutställning från lokala konstnärer.
Vi kommer att besöka huvudkyrkan som är den äldsta kyrkan i staden.
Här kommer du att upptäcka rognens legend och se det ursprungliga korset från legenden. Det finns också några andra intressanta artefakter som finns över hela staden.
Njut av den vackra utsikten över den medeltida bron från slottet i Bragança från 1500-talet.
Vi kommer att starta vår stadspromenad i Braga in genom den gamla stadsgatan.
Vandra runt i Santa Barbara Gardens och njut av säsongens blommor.
Du kommer att passera av återstoden av den 11: e århundrads slottdelen av den gamla stadsmuren.
På Bragas centrala torg - där de "gamla lokalbefolkningen" samlas runt för att umgås - kommer du att se en blandning av intressant architure från olika perioder.
Byggd på 1600-talet framsidan av kyrkan döljer två tuppar. Enligt legenden nästan weds bör hitta denna 2 tuppar för en lång och lycklig äktenskap.
Vi kommer att besöka stadens huvudkyrka. Delar av denna kyrka är ännu äldre än Portugal själv. I en av kapellerna i denna katedral hittar du tumuls av föräldrarna till den första kungen i Portugal.
Sanctuary of Bom Jesus do Monte är känd för sin omfattande trappa och dess vackra trädgårdar. Här kommer du njuta av det vackra landskapet med en spektakulär utsikt över staden Braga.
Njut av tystnaden i Bragas mest fredfulla fristad. Sanctuary är byggd i neoklassisk stil och är den största marianska helgedomen i Portugal, den andra bara till helgedomen i Fátima.
Den typiska Largo da Oliveira är uppkallad efter ett mirakel med ett 500 år gammalt olivträd som låg på torget. Torget är omgivet av några traditionella "verandahus" från 1600-talet och kyrkan "Nossa Senhora da Oliveira". Mitt på torget finns en veranda som heter "Padrão do Salado". Verandan refererar till det framgångsrika slaget vid Salado på 1300-talet. Det charmiga torget i San Tiago präglas av närvaron av den gamla stadshusbyggnaden och några bostadshus från 1600- och 1700-talet. Lunchtid (ingår ej).
Slottet i Bragança byggdes på 1500-talet av D. Afonso. Han var "bastard" son till kung João I. Vi kommer också att besöka museet på första våningen i slottet med en samling nationella och internationella antikviteter.
Enligt legenden döpades den första kungen i Portugal, D. Afonso Henriques, här. Den förmodade dopfonten som användes vid ceremonin hålls här.
Vi får se slottet där Portugals förste kung föddes och kapellet där han döptes.

Vcs canceled the tour, without even warning, bad service, I do not recommend to anyone, I had to arrange the tour with another operator
Lamentamos o seu comentário, porque você nunca teve da nossa parte nenhuma confirmação de aceitação de reserva e por isso o seu comentário não tem qualquer fundamento. Da próxima vez que fizer qualquer reserva com qualquer Operador aconselhamos a informar-se corretamente sobre o normal procedimento das mesmas e não fazer comentários infundados sobre uma suposta reserva que nunca aconteceu.
We went on a tour of Barcelos, Braga, and Guimaraes with José and his companion Evangeline (?) and it was a great day. They picked us up right outside our place in central Porto in the morning, and then we headed to the street market in Barcelos (which runs on Thursdays... we didn't buy anything, but it was fun to experience)... Other than the market, Barcelos is a fairly sleepy town, feels pretty "local" and off the beaten path, though it is famous for the legend of the "Rooster of Barcelos" which has become a symbol across all of Portugal. From there, we headed to Braga, which has something like 26 churches -- and we got to take a look at probably a dozen of them over the course of the day, including the impressive Cathedral which was a major seat of Catholic power in the area... in addition to the nearby Bom Jesus, which is beautifully located up a mountain at the end of a long-stretching staircase (although unfortunately they are doing renovations inside the church right now... but the exterior views are the star of the show, anyway.) Finally, we made our way to Guimaraes, the "birthplace" of Portugal since this is where the first king, Alfonso Henriques was born, and where he battled his mother to declare independence from Spain (long story. The guides will tell it to you!) There is a castle here, but we walked past it and spent time touring the more grandiose Dukes manor nearby. The town itself is also pleasant to walk through -- quaint and medieval in its layout, but still a fairly large city. After all of this, we were quite satisfied but, even though the tour was technically done, José was nice enough to show us a few more sights... he had time, so he extended the tour to do a little detour down the coastal region, seeing the beach towns and fisherman villages, such as Vila Nova do Conde, with a historical Portuguese sailing ship and a couple more interesting churches. Oh, I forgot to mention... this is billed as a "small group tour" which would have been fine, but it ended up being a private tour for just the two of us! Even better!
