Upplev två av Thailands mest berömda marknader på en oförglömlig dag. Efter att ha träffat din guide i Bangkok reser du till Ratchaburi för att besöka Damnoen Saduaks flytande marknad, som har funnits i över 150 år. Njut av en båttur genom kanaler omgivna av hus och vegetation och titta på försäljare som erbjuder frukt, snacks och hantverk från sina båtar. Utforska marknaden till fots, provsmaka lokala produkter och fördjupa dig i dess livliga atmosfär. Besök sedan tågmarknaden i Mae Klong, som ligger längs aktiva järnvägsspår. Strosa bland stånd som säljer frukt och thailändska specialiteter och bevittna det imponerande ögonblicket när tåget passerar bara några centimeter från försäljarna. Vi lämnar staden Bangkok och åker bil i cirka 1,5 timme. tills du når den lilla staden Mae Klong för att se tågmarknaden.
Här tar vi en typisk båt för att bege oss till marknaden, och färdas längs kanalerna (klongs på thailändska). Vi kommer att bevittna hur lokalbefolkningen köper och säljer allt du kan tänka dig från båt till båt: kryddor, frukt och grönsaker, hantverk, souvenirer… Du kommer att ha fritid att utforska de slingrande gränderna, njuta av lokala produkter, vandra runt i omgivningarna och njuta av denna fantastiska plats i lugn och ro innan du återvänder till det pulserande Bangkok.
På Damnoen Saduaks flytande marknad kan du se en traditionell flytande marknad där lokala försäljare erbjuder färsk frukt, typisk mat och hantverk från små båtar. Under turen får du njuta av en atmosfär full av färg och rörelse, lära dig lite om det thailändska vardagslivet och ta unika bilder på kanalerna fulla av båtar och den lokala kulturen.
Därefter fortsatte vi vår resa till den thailändska provinsen Ratchaburi för att besöka järnvägsmarknaden.

Jenny the tour guide was amazing but the train ride could have happened on the bus. Hella hot for no reason. We only got to spend 10 mins at the train station couldn't really shop. The floating market was better but them old ladies be aggressive. Tiger bomb lady wasn't trying to let me leave. I was like I don't want it, it stank.

Our tour guide Tammy was excellent and was great with our children. She had a quick Thai language lesson prepared for the ride to the markets. We learned a lot and got to experience the famous railroad market. She reserved seats for us at a soda / coffee shop that was within inches of the train!

Jenny, our tour guide, is a superstar. She really took care of us. She got us a good view of the train at the Maeklong Railway Market. And when we got back to Bangkok, she helped us get the correct subway line back to our hotel. After helping us, I saw her get a taxi for another family. Highly recommend!

The Floating Market was too faraway from Bangkok, the Canoe shopping experience was too short considering the time travel in the bus ! the prices are higher compared to other shopping centres in Thailand. The Railway Market is a must visit place in Bangkok even it is very crowded still an exceptional destination, specially when it was announced that train is approaching and shoppers must move their belongings away , tourists should mind the gab and turn back behind the red line. Sam the Guide, made our day with his sense of humour, his knowledge and ability to tell the history in a funny way, his passion and his generosity.

This was a great day trip out of the city to see the floating market and train market! We were taken on a large tour bus with wonderful A/C to keep us cool. Our guide, Sam, was so nice and gave us a lot of information about Thailand and their culture. The markets are definitely for tourists, but such a cool thing to see. I highly recommend doing this if you come to Bangkok!

Monkey Travel, specifically our guide, Jeed, was phenomenal. His expertise, care, thoughtfulness was the best part of this experience. End of the day, this was too long of an excursion for a subpar experience. If these two markets were closer to Bangkok, maybe I’d recommend checking them out. But the authenticity of these markets were sullied by wannabe travel influencers capturing their picture perfect moment. We were picked up at the hotel at 8am, didn’t leave the meeting point until 9:15 and then didn’t get back to the meeting point until 5pm. The majority of the long day was spent in the transportation vehicle. They also do not offer the hotel drop off after the tour so we had to figure that out on our own. Due to this I might recommend the later start to miss the horrible rush hour traffic on the way back into the city. I want to reiterate that the travel company was great, this just was not worth the $ and time spent. I would not recommend to a friend.
