Universitetets ingenjörsinstitut utsågs till Indian Institute of Technology i juni 2012, och är hädanefter Indian Institute of Technology (BHU).
Shri Vishwanath Mandir även känd som Vishwanath Mandir, Vishwanath Temple, New Vishwanath Temple och Birla Temple är ett av de mest kända hinduiska templen och största turistattraktioner i den heliga staden Varanasi. Templet ligger i Banaras Hindu University och är tillägnat Herren Shiva.
Bharat Mata Mandir ligger på Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith campus i Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, Indien. Istället för traditionella statyer av gudar och gudinnor har detta tempel en enorm karta över det odelade Indien huggen i marmor.

Nice tour guide with flexible hours
Every thing was well planned and taken care of. We enjoyed the stay and the staff was very cordial. We stayed in banaras for 3 days. The hotel Vikram palace was also very comfortable.
