Från de färgglada Candy Cane Mountains till djupa kanjoner och breda utsiktsplatser över bergen, erbjuder varje stopp otrolig natur och fantastiska fotomöjligheter. Du kommer att resa genom den vackra Quba-regionen, passerar skogar, floder och traditionella byar längs rutten. Höjdpunkten på resan är Khinaliq, en av de högsta och äldsta bergsbyarna i Kaukasus, där gamla traditioner fortfarande bevaras. Längs vägen får du också uppleva det lokala livet, naturen och kulturen i en mycket autentisk miljö. Det är ett idealiskt val för resenärer som vill utforska bortom Baku och se den sanna bergsskönheten i landet.

Turen börjar runt 08:00. Dagen innan turen får du exakt plats och starttid.
Ditt första stopp blir de berömda Candy Cane Mountains (Colorful Hills). Detta unika naturlandskap är känt för sina slående röd- och vitrandiga mönster, vilket gör det till en perfekt plats för foton. Du får också tid att njuta av den vackra panoramautsikten och njuta av den fridfulla omgivningen.
Längs vägen ser du också Five Finger Mountain (Beshbarmaq Mountain). Detta ikoniska landmärke kan ses från vägen när vi passerar, men det kommer inte att finnas något stopp på denna plats.
Därefter kommer vi att passera genom staden Quba, en av Azerbajdzjans mest pittoreska regioner. Quba är känt för sin rika historia, äppelodlingar och traditionella mattvävning. Det är också hem för den berömda Red Settlement, en av de äldsta och största judiska samhällena i världen utanför Israel och USA.
Därefter stannar vi i Qechresh Forest. Detta område är välkänt för sin avkopplande atmosfär, omgiven av frodig grönska och frisk bergsluft. Här hittar du små restauranger, caféer, souvenirbutiker och traditionella honungshus där du kan smaka lokala produkter. Efter detta stopp börjar vi vår resa upp i bergen, mot Khinaliq.
Nästa stopp blir vid Qudyalchay Canyon. Vi stannar mellan bergen, där du kan njuta av fantastisk natur och ta vackra bilder av dalen och floden nedanför.
Därefter stannar vi vid en panoramautsikt. Härifrån kan du njuta av en fantastisk panoramautsikt över de stora Kaukasusbergen, med oändliga bergskedjor som sträcker sig in i horisonten.
Vår slutliga destination är byn Khinaliq, en av de äldsta och högsta bergsbyarna i Kaukasus. Den är känd för sitt unika språk, sin gamla historia och sina traditionella stenhus byggda på branta bergssluttningar. Här har du också möjlighet att njuta av lunch i ett lokalt familjehemsmuseum, uppleva äkta hemlagad mat och traditionell gästfrihet i en helt unik miljö.
Observera att den totala körtiden för denna rutt är cirka 8 timmar i båda riktningarna. Vi kommer att resa med flera stopp längs vägen, och hela turnén varar cirka 11–12 timmar totalt. Du kommer tillbaka till Baku ungefär klockan 20:00.

Leyla was a great tour guide, maybe the best in Azerbaijan. Lots of driving involved, but worth the trek.
The nature in the mountains was beautiful and the old village was interesting. The bus was old and uncomfortable, AC was hardly working. Leyla was a very nice guide, friendly and supportive, sharing a lot of information.

Regarding the air conditioning, it's important to note that the route climbs to more than 2,200 meters above sea level through steep mountain roads. During such ascents, the performance of any vehicle's air conditioning system is naturally reduced due to the increased engine load. This is a normal characteristic of mountain driving and not a technical issue. As for the vehicle, the tour is operated with a 2016 Toyota Hiace, which is a reliable minibus specifically chosen for mountain roads and remote destinations such as Khinalig. While comfort preferences may vary from person to person, describing the vehicle as "old" does not accurately reflect its condition or suitability for this route. We are pleased that you enjoyed the landscapes, the village, and the guidance provided during the tour.
A wonderful experience! Leyla was the best guide we could’ve asked for: energetic, caring, informative. You can tell she loves what she does. The driver was competent and fast. For me, the highlight of the trip was the homemade meal in the village. Even though it was cold, I’m happy I got to see some of Azerbaijan countryside.

This trip takes you to the popular sights around the Absheron peninsula, including the first oil well, a mosque, the mud pots, the Gobustan petroglyphs, the burning mountain, and the fire temple. The highlight is definitely the off-road trip in a Lada to the mud pots; even though my trip was in the rain, the guide wrapped our shoes in plastic bags and we slid up the mountain to see the bubbling mounds. My guide, Leyla, was friendly and lively and kept the tour moving along. Overall, a fun trip and great way to start my time in Azerbaijan.
