Tiny Table Tours grundades av en välkänd lokal matjournalist, och dessa relationer är kärnan i våra turnéer. Vi delar berättelser som samlats in från en-mot-en intervjuer med företagare och kockar som ger dig en bakom kulisserna, personlig bild av södra Philadelphia. Våra reseledare är djupt försjunkna i Phillys mat- och restaurangscen, vilket ger dig en djupt personlig upplevelse. Turen inkluderar sex matbitar, inklusive söta godsaker, en vietnamesisk smörgås, tacos och mer. Vi ska prata om (men inte äta) ostbiffar, och presentera flergenerations familjeföretag. Vi delar också med oss av vårt fuskblad: en lista med rekommendationer för barer, restauranger och andra roliga aktiviteter i staden. Allt som allt kommer vi att gå ca 1 mil under loppet av 2,5 timmar, så kom förberedd. Vi kan enkelt ta emot vegetarianer och peskatarier med förvarning. Columbus Square Park är en samlingsplats i stadsdelen Passyunk i South Philly. Vi träffas och samlar gruppen, besöker ett bageri, pratar om den dolda historien om uppfinningen av Philly cheesesteak, diskuterar Phillys kultur av offentlig konst och lär känna en mindre känd del av South Philly.
En gång hem till industrilager har Washington Avenue blivit en skiljelinje för staden och är hem för några av våra favoritrestauranger i staden. Vi besöker ett legendariskt vietnamesiskt bageri och en mångårig mexikansk restaurang med några av stadens bästa tacos.
En av de längsta ständigt fungerande utomhusmarknaderna i USA, där lokalbefolkningen fortfarande handlar och massor av restauranger har råvaror. Du kommer att höra historier om företagen i det här området och besöka ett fjärde generationens italienska bageri, en ny skola judisk aptitretande butik och ha lite tid att handla på marknaden. Vi avslutar med ett glas vin från en begränsad upplaga av vin från en av den italienska marknadens äldsta företag.

We had a fantastic tour of South Philly food scene with Jackie. She was so great on the history of the area along with each place we stopped at. We loved each stop and also given some free time around the Italian Market. Jackie was so knowlegable about the history of the immigrants moving into the area from Italy and the Eastern European countries. and also how they came to the United States to make a differnce for themselves and start these new business. So many fmily business that have veen around for many generatios. I highly reccomend this food tour, especially if you are new to Philadelphia. Thank you Jackie

Jackie was our guide, and she was great! I had been on another South Phila. Food Tour, but this tour went to different places- we tasted Vietnamese food, Mexican food, Jewish specialties, wine, Mighty Bread, and even an Isgrow Canolli! Everything was delicious, and it was fun learning the history behind the Italian Market. I highly recommend it for a fun and delicious time!

This was one of my favorite tours I’ve ever done. Tour guide was super educational but also made the group feel cohesive. The food was delicious and I love that they gave out an additional guide to Philly restaurant at the end. The price felt very fair! Group was small, which I also liked.

Excellent tour, food sampling, and tour guide! Great background history of Philadelphia and the Italian market to provide context for the foods. Nice small group of people. There is A LOT of walking on this tour- we clocked over 3 miles. Worth the walking though! Great selections

Thanks so much! One of my favorite parts of the tour is the restaurant where we stop halfway through, where guests can relax, hydrate, and even have a cocktail if they want!
