This excursion was a good choice for our family because it combined sightseeing with comfort. The transportation was smooth, and the guide kept everything organized. The Amalfi Coast views were spectacular, and the stops were spaced out well so nobody felt tired or rushed. The children enjoyed seeing the colorful towns, while adults appreciated the scenery and atmosphere. It felt like a well-balanced day that gave everyone something to enjoy without being too demanding physically.
The experience includes the drive itself; the cliffside roads are breathtaking and dramatic. We made a stop at a lemon Grove to get some fresh juice and sample some limoncello from the area. Invest in the private option if you're traveling as a couple; the flexibility and personal touch make it worthwhile.

We’ve traveled to many coastal destinations, but the Amalfi Coast still stood out as something special. This tour gave us a chance to see it comfortably without the stress of driving. Well, I can’t exactly rate this tour because the company switched us to a different tour without asking us. We still got to see Sorrento, Positano, and Almalfi; but it wasn’t “for cruise passengers.” We received a message the night before warning us not to miss the bus at a hotel at 7:30. I told them the gangway goes out at 7:30, so we couldn’t get there. “Rita” gave me directions and again warned me not to be late. This bothered me because we were supposed to be picked up at the port, but now had to run to a hotel. Then Francisco (not his fault) checked us in and told us that we were on a tour NOT for cruise passengers. We almost didn’t get on the bus, but Francisco made a call and assured us we would be back in time (we weren’t confident but decided to risk it figuring we could take a taxi to port if need be). The tour was good , and so was Francisco — he dealt with my stress and checked in with me throughout the day assuring me of the timing. And we did get back with time to spare — BUT we should not have been put under that kind of stress with no notification.

We apologize for the stress caused, but the problem was that first-time cruisers often trust the legends that guests who booked ship tours disembark first and that independent guests cannot disembark until 7:30 AM, while the ship docked at 6:00 AM. Usually, we accommodate cruise passengers within 30 minutes after the ship’s arrival, not to mention one and a half hours. For first-time cruisers reading this: please do not waste your time on board waiting for the ship’s “own” customers to disembark first. A cruise ship is simply a method of transportation, like a train or plane, where all passengers are equal, except for business-class guests who may have priority leaving the transport. The same applies to getting back to the ship. There is no need to be there two hours before the ship’s departure. One hour is more than enough, as most major ships remove gangways approximately 30 minutes before departure. It is like an airline asking you to be at the airport two hours in advance, while in reality you do not always need to be that early and waste your time waiting. To cut a long story short, all our groups from your ship arrived and departed on time. Since you were late, we did not want to leave you there and added you to our hotel group. Hopefully, you appreciated our efforts. Thank you for your kind words about Francisco. He really walked an extra mile for you. Next time, please do not pay attention to cruise ship legends: disembark first and come back last! Many happy and safe travels ahead!
The scenery is a postcard with every click. It was crowded but not as bad or as hot when we visited 10 years ago. Not much has changed but that's a good thing because everyone comes to expect the scenery. Houses built on the sides of the mountain and tumbling right into the sea; seemingly defying gravity. Again, needing strong legs and endurance!
As a solo traveler, I wanted a tour that would let me experience the Amalfi Coast without having to plan transportation or worry about logistics. This excursion was exactly that. The scenery along the coast was absolutely stunning. I spent a lot of time just looking out the window during the drive, as every section of the road had something worth seeing. The stops were well timed, giving enough space to explore independently and take photos. It felt safe, comfortable, and very enjoyable as a solo day trip from the cruise.
