Excellent tour of Avignon. We learned a lot. Emile our guide was very knowledgeable and made some excellent recommendations for dining and shopping as well.

Visit went very well, the place is huge and the visit takes time, allow 1.5 to 2 hours. View from the top overlooks Avignon and the bridge. And upon leaving you can visit the famous Saint-Bénézet bridge. With the little shops.

We met up and walked thru Avignon, up to the gardens at Palais de Papes and Rhone overlook, then wonderful guided tour of Palais de Papes. We wrapped it up with two enjoyable glasses of local wine. (Afterwards we enjoyed a wonderful meal at restaurant recommended by our guide)

This tour of the Papal palace in Avignon was very informative and interesting. The guide was excelleent and easily understood. She showed us a beautiful overlook of the river before the tour of the palace. This tour involves lots of walking and steps so reasonably good physical condition is needed.
