Autentisk irländsk matlagningskurs i Dublin med kock Erica

Beskrivning

If I could give this higher than 5 star review, I would. As part of searching for our Irish roots, my family and I took Chef Erica's class to learn more about our culinary heritage. We gained so much more. Chef Erica welcomed us into her home and treated us like family. We learned more about the hospitality and stories of Ireland in that cooking class, then we learned from books. Moreover, the food we cooked was amazing. Our favorites were the strawberry and cherry cheesecake and soda bread, so easy to replicate at home. We learned about modern Irish cooking with local products. We knew that the cheese and butter were amazing, but didn't realize how beautiful the duck is in Ireland. It was a treat to prepare and eat duck like we were chefs in a fine dining restaurant. The beauty of the class is that for my family who has different cooking experience, each of us learned something that we could easily replicate at home. I know that this is a long review, but it is hard to put into words how much we enjoyed this experience and the impact it has on our family trip.
Erica was incredible and so welcoming. The cooking felt like a family member teaching you and telling stories along the way. It was the highlight if our trip to Ireland. We felt so welcome all over Dublin but never more than in Erica’s kitchen! And the food was fantastic!

Having done cooking classes in the past in other European countries, we knew this would be a fun way to spend an evening in Dublin and enjoy a home cooked meal. Our host Erica was great. We exchanged emails in advance of our tour so we became comfortable with her and with visiting her home. She greeted and embraced us at her door and welcomed us in where we spent the evening cooking and visiting. The meal was outstanding and a nice change from the restaurant food we'd been eating while touring other countries. Erica entertained us all evening with her culinary knowledge and stories of her family and childhood in Ireland. We had a great time and I highly recommend this if you're looking for a great meal and something different than just going to a nice restaurant for dinner.
