Titeln "The New Mecca of Graffiti", som den engelska väktaren tillskrev Aten, är inget annat än slumpmässigt. Aten har nu en framträdande plats bland de mest kända för sina gatukonststäder. Njut av en 4-timmars privat promenad runt Aten och lära känna, beundra och fotografera sin Street Art-scen eftersom den har formats genom verk av berömda gatukonstnärer som WD, iNO och Moralez. Bläddra bland några av Atenas mest kända distrikt som Psyrri och Exarchia och upptäck deras unika karaktär genom väggmålningar, stenciler och graffities som dekorerar dem.

Efter att ha träffat en medlem av Be a Greek team utanför tunnelbanestationen Panepistimio, kommer du att njuta av en fyra timmars vandring i de mest alternativa och autentiska stadsdelarna i Aten, där du får möjlighet att bekanta dig med den athenska gatukonsten scen.
Vi börjar från Exarchia, ett välkänt stadsdel för dess konstnärliga och studenters aura. Exklusiva gatukonstnärer som WD, STMTS, Sonke och iNO har gett en speciell touch till det urbana landskapet, som belyser detta stadsdel och gör det känt över hela världen. I Exarchia kommer vi också att ha möjlighet att koppla av medan vi njuter av vårt kaffe på ett lokalt kafé, dekorerat med unik anamorfisk graffiti.
Fortsätter vi oss i Psyrri, upptäcker både dess turistiska och alternativa karaktär, samtidigt som vi beundrar några av de mest berömda och vackra konstverken som den berömda hunden Loukanikos (korv på grekiska), som vittnar om den socio-politiska situationen för vårt land. I den här delen av promenaden får vi möjlighet att bland annat prata om den fantastiska konstnären Achilles och lära känna några av hans unika verk.
Efter att ha lämnat oss bakom Psyrri kommer vi förbi gågatorområdet Kerameikos och beundrar kontrasten mellan de gamla utställningarna i Kerameikos och de moderna konstverkna i området. Efter några minuter når vi en av höjdpunkterna i vår Tour, de enorma DaVinci-väggmålningarna som skapats av händerna på iNO, utan tvekan ett utsökt exempel på den ateniska gatukunsten. När vi anländer till tunnelbanestationen Kerameikos kommer vår tur att avsluta, efter att ha haft en dag full av bilder och en fantastisk upplevelse.

Bianca is top notch! Professional, knowledgeable, knows her way around the various neighborhoods, spoke about art, culture, philosophy, mythology, religion; she is a walking encyclopedia. Details , insight, depth, for those seeking to truly Be a Greek. I am Greek and I learned more about my city historically and in present times than I could have known if I had read one hundred books. Within the “art walk” she gives you the meat of what it means to be an Athenian, both in past history and recent history. We will never forget her knowledge and passion for her work, and we will definitely keep in touch so that we can utilize her services again. Bianca is worth five times her weight in gold! Bianca gave an amazing tour of Athens and its vibrant street art. We saw some very interesting and evocative art produced by a collection of passionate artists. The tour was enhanced by Bianca’s knowledge of how local social and political issues drove much of the art. She was also friendly, upbeat and spoke fluent English.

It felt like we got a behind the scene tour of Athens! Without this tour we feel that we would have left Athens not truly understating the full and true landscape and culture of Athens. It would be near impossible to truly understand and appreciate the amazing street art of Athens without the spectacular storytelling from Bianca. This tour was the icing on the cake of our trip to Athens. It’s a must do!
Bianca from "Be a Greek" is truly the best guide you can imagine for the graffitti / street art tour. She is really passionate about the subject and can teach you all about the artists and artworks. In addition, she was very good at telling about the recent history of Athens and relating events related to the districts of Exarchia and Psyrri. The tour is 150% recommended and I would book another tour with Bianca at any time.
I was looking to see some special after visiting the classic Athenian sites. This walking tour was outstanding. As a photographer, I knew this tour would give me great opportunities but it was much more than that. Bianca was my guide and was exceptionally well versed in this subject. She had a deep understanding of who the artists are and what the artists are trying to convey. Bianca made this tour very special for me. If you want to see another side of Athens, I would encourage you to take this tour.

My husband and I had a most interesting day walking and talking w/ our guide Antonis. We saw fabulous examples of the artists making mostly social commentary on what is happening in Greece today. We had discussions of what life is like in Greece and what are the social issues facing the Greeks. We enjoyed learning about the current day society and how history is still influencing it. If you want to know about Greece today go to where the people live and express themselves. A very well spent day!
