Ge dig ut på Meteora-dagsutflykten från Aten med buss erbjuder en distinkt resa till ett av Greklands mest imponerande UNESCO-världsarv. Ta bussen 07:30 till Kalambaka på morgonen från mittemot Atens järnvägsstation och njut av en resa som ger dig chansen att beundra skönheten i landskapet. Ankomst runt 12:30 i Kalambaka.

Besök det imponerande Varlaam-klostret, det näst största av Meteoras kloster, högt uppe på en stenig kulle. Din guide kommer att dela den fascinerande historien om dess 1500-talskonstruktion och livet för munkarna som en gång släpade upp material med rep. Beundra det rikt freskmålade kapellet, historiska reliker och panoramautsikten över det dramatiska landskapet nedanför.
Det stora meteoronklostret är det största och äldsta av alla Meteorakloster. Byggd på en tornig klippformation fick den namnet ”meteoro”, som betyder ”upphängd i luften”. Meteoriten Saint Athanasios grundade det och blev det första organiserade klostersamfundet i området, vilket lade grunden för Meteoras rika andliga arv.
Bli förvånad över de avskilda eremitgrottorna i Badovas, en kraftfull återspegling av ensamheten och den andliga hängivenheten hos Meteoras tidigaste munkar. Stefansklostret är det mest lättillgängliga av alla Meteora-kloster och kräver inga trappor – bara en kort promenad över en liten bro för att nå dess ingång – vilket gör det idealiskt för besökare med begränsad rörlighet som fortfarande vill ha en autentisk klosterupplevelse. Klosterlivet på denna klippa började redan på 1100-talet, med nyckelpersoner som Hosios Antonios och Hosios Philotheos krediteras för dess utveckling, den senare hade återuppbyggt den ursprungliga kyrkan 1545. Idag har klostret två kyrkor: ett 1500-talskapell som skadades under andra världskriget och det grekiska inbördeskriget, och en större 1700-talskatedral tillägnad Saint Charalambos, som rymmer hans vördade reliker.
I slutet av dagen kommer vår Expert escort att överföra dig tillbaka till Kalambaka, där du kommer att ha tid att promenera runt. Klockan 17:35 avgår bussen från Kalambaka och anländer klockan 21:58 tillbaka till Aten.
Sankt Nikolaus av Anapafsas heliga kloster är det första kloster som vi möter på vår väg till den heliga Meteora och grundades i slutet av 1300-talet.
Njut av panoramautsikten över staden Kalampaka
Det heliga klostret Roussanou tros vara uppkallat efter den första eremiten som bosatte sig på dess klippa. Dess huvudkyrka grundades i slutet av 1500-talet och vackert dekorerad ett trettiotal år senare. Till skillnad från några av de mer upphöjda Meteoraklostren sitter Roussanou på en lägre klippa, vilket gör det lättare att nå. Klostret grundades ursprungligen av munkar och drabbades av betydande skador under andra världskriget. 1988 omvandlades det till ett kloster och fortsätter att vara en plats för andligt liv och tradition.
Klostret Holy Trinity är det mest utmanande att komma åt, men den hisnande panoramautsikten från toppen gör klättringen väl värd ansträngningen. Detta kloster ligger nära Stefansklostret och på toppen av en slående, brant klippformation. För att nå den följer besökare en stig som leder till basen av klippan, sedan stiger cirka 140 steg upp till toppen, där fantastisk natur och andlig historia väntar.
Solnedgång Middag vid havet: På vägen tillbaka kan du njuta av ett valfritt middagsstopp i en pittoresk kuststad. Det är en idealisk miljö för att koppla av, njuta av autentiska grekiska rätter och njuta av en fantastisk solnedgång vid vattnet – en oförglömlig avslutning på din dag.

- Turen kräver att kunderna går i trappor när de närmar sig klostren. Om någon tycker att det är utmanande att gå i trappor går det att vänta vid parkeringsplatsen där några bänkar finns.
- Kunderna behöver inte köpa klostrets biljetter i förväg. De betalar kontant på plats.
- Bussen som ska köra kunderna till Kalambaka är endast för resegruppen.

Very beautiful place, but during the booking, we were supposed to have a guide in French, which was not the case. English-speaking guide.

Meteora is a stunning site. You should consider allocating two days for the visit. You can do it in one if you are willing to get up early, return late and spend 8 hrs in a bus.

Great day... it was long but staff were friendly and made lots of stops for refreshments and bathrooms. It does include a lot of steps so be ready! Once in a lifetime.
