Utforska matmarknaderna i Aten på en 4-timmars vandringstur och smaka på några av de läckra godsakerna som erbjuds. Börja med en traditionell grekisk frukost med koulóuria (sesambrödsringar) och ta dig sedan till ett hundraårigt konditori för att prova loukoumades (grekiska munkar) och vaniljsåsfyllda filo-rutor. Njut av lokala pajer och ostar på autentiska grekiska bagerier. Därefter, vandra genom kött- och fiskmarknaden, stadens levande monumentmarknader. Prova mörkrostat kaffe till ett av de äldre kafferosterierna i centrum. Njut av lite lokalt vin, ekologisk olivolja och honung, sju år gammal aromatiserad vinäger och den världsberömda grekiska yoghurten i en liten butik som säljer fantastiska presenter till dina vänner där hemma. Vandra nerför Evripidou Street, doftande av örter. Besök en lokal taverna och utforska mezedes tallrikar (lokala tapas). Our guide Tonia was very kind, lovely and considerate to all the guests. I also had a lovely bunch of people! I really enjoyed Greek authentic dishes of breakfast-lunch-dinner in 4 hours & chatting with other guests. The pacing was great, the plastic bag and water were provided at the beginning, so that we can carry our leftover Koulouri Thessalonikis(to dip into olive oil for later on - very clever!!) while continuing our waking gourmet tour.
Giannis our guide was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and friendly, went out of his way throughout the tour to make it a wonderful experience . Don't eat breakfast. The amount of food we had was more than filling right through from sweet to savoury. Definitely worth the trip! Visited about eight different places including fish and meat markets. We are both foodies. Came away very satisfied after 4 hours of walking the streets of Athens.
Excellent and wear good walking shoes.They supply plenty of water so no need to carry you own. An extensive array of foods and local eateries.
This was an excellent tour. The food was fantastic and there was a lot of it.! Our guide, Ana, was great. She was knowledgeable, engaging and extremely organized. The small group of nice people was the right size for our 6 stops. Delicious and fun! Highly recommended!
The Athens Gourmet Food Small Group Walking Tour was a fantastic introduction to both Athens and Greek cuisine. The food itself was wonderful, with generous tastings that showcased a great variety of local specialties, and Peter was a fantastic guide—knowledgeable, engaging, and fun. We’ve learned to start our trips with a food tour, and this one truly set the stage for a wonderful stay in Athens. It also gave us a real sense of the city centre and we even went back to a couple of the places we especially liked. We honestly can’t say enough about this tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Athens.

The food walking tour was brilliant, and our guide Adele was fantastic, she gave us so much information not just about the food but Greek culture and history as well. We ate very well and we certainly didn’t need anything else to eat that evening! We would whole heartedly recommend this tour.
Fabulous way to understand the greek way of life. Food is part of a social activity and takes place over many traditional dishes. Our excellent and knowledgable guide Peggy selected dishes we wouldn't have known about.
Lots of great food with in depth information at every stop. Dimitra and Giannnis went above and beyond with an in depth list of places for the next stop on our trip as well.
Did this tour with guide Nikoleta, emailed the day before confirming all details , met in a central square in the middle of Athens, breakfast made from scratch in front of us Spanokopita, a cheese filled one and sweet one, next was coffee again in front of us showing how they make it using hot sand, toured the local markets, got loves before sitting down to a delicious meze style lunch , with wine, water and ouzo to drink, outstanding food and lots for everyone, trip to the local honey shop , tasted local honey and tried some of the cream they had in store, next was gyros and soft drinks, finished with desert at a local shop of Greek donut, small fluffy dough with honey light and full of flavour, Nikoleta was an amazing guide, very knowledgeable and left no detail outstanding, there is a warning with this tour do not eat three hours before, heed this advice, the food is plentiful and delicious with lots of options for vegetarians, etc , great tour all included in the price made so much better by our host
