Sightseeing i Aten börjar köra under Akropolis kulle. På den historiska kullen kommer du att ha möjlighet att se Herodes Atticus Odeon, Athena Nikes tempel, den monumentala porten (Propylaea), Erechtheum och naturligtvis det berömda Parthenon, huvudtemplet tillägnat den jungfruliga gudinnan Athena. Du kommer att kunna gå runt den heliga kullen.
Propylaea är de monumentala ingångarna till det heliga området tillägnat Athena, stadens skyddsgudinna. Byggd av arkitekten Mnesicles med pentelisk marmor, deras design var avantgardistisk. Sydväst om Propylaea, på en vall som skyddar huvudingången till Akropolis, ligger det joniska templet Apteros Nike.
Parthenon, huvudtemplet tillägnat den jungfruliga gudinnan Athena. Symbolen för den atenska demokratin och den västerländska civilisationen.

The Theatre of Dionysus Elefthereus är en stor teater i Aten, som anses vara världens första teater, byggd vid foten av Atenska Akropolis.
Odeon of Herodes Atticus är en romersk teaterbyggnad i sten som ligger på sydvästra sluttningen av Akropolis i Aten, Grekland. Byggnaden stod färdig 161 e.Kr. och renoverades sedan 1950
Vi besöker Panathenaic Stadium där de första moderna olympiska spelen hölls 1896.
Efter Akropolis går vi mot Zeus tempel via Hadrianus båge och vi kommer att beundra antikens största tempel tillägnat gudarnas kung.
Hadrianus båge som är mest känd på grekiska som Hadrianus port är en monumental port som liknar – i vissa avseenden – en romersk triumfbåge. Den sträckte sig över en forntida väg från centrum av Aten, Grekland, till komplexet av strukturer på den östra sidan av staden som inkluderade den olympiska Zeus tempel.
Det grekiska parlamentet, på grekiska känt som Voulí ton Ellínon, är Greklands parlament, beläget i det gamla kungliga palatset, med utsikt över Syntagmatorget i Aten. Parlamentet är den högsta demokratiska institutionen som företräder medborgarna genom ett valt organ av parlamentsledamöter.
Vi kommer att se vaktbytet (Euzones) framför det gamla palatset, som idag är parlamentshuset, ovanför Atens centrala torg.
Akademihuset utgör en av tre delar i en ”arkitektonisk trilogi”. Den grundades med det konstitutionella dekretet av den 18 mars 1926, som en akademi för vetenskaper, humaniora och konst.
National and Kapodistrian University of Athens är den största statliga institutionen för högre utbildning i Grekland, och bland de största universiteten i Europa.
Greklands nationalbibliotek byggdes i slutet av 1800-talet, som det sista i Atens arkitektoniska trilogi, en grupp av tre nyklassicistiska byggnader som även inkluderar akademin och universitetet.
Syntagmatorget är Atens centrala torg. Torget är uppkallat efter den konstitution som Otto, den första kungen av Grekland, var skyldig att bevilja efter ett folkligt och militärt uppror den 3 september 1843.
Monastiraki är ett loppmarknadsområde i gamla stan i Aten, Grekland, och är ett av de främsta shoppingdistrikten i Aten. Området är hem för klädbutiker, souvenirbutiker och specialbutiker, och är en stor turistattraktion i Aten.
Efter att ha kört 30 minuter från Aten kommer vi till Pireus stad. Bay Zea marina ligger i Pireus och det är en av de finaste superyachthamnarna i Medelhavet. En hamn med stor gammal historia eftersom det var en flottbas där flottan av triremer byggdes. Ruinerna av basens gamla murar kan fortfarande hittas i marinan. Greklands Marinmuseum ligger också i Zea-marinan.
Med utsikt över Saroniska viken, ö-utseende, förtöjda fiskebåtar och många restauranger och kaféer längs den, känns Mikrolimano som ett livligt havslandskap. Det är Mikrolimano, en av de finaste platserna i Pireus och samtidigt ett av de mest turistområdena i Attika.

It’s perfect because you get to visit so many landmarks and not have to walk excessively. The AC travel vehicle was perfect for the six of us on the excursion. Our tour expert, Christiano, was most personable and caring. He was very educated about Athens and shared some great stories. And he was a great driver!!

Iam arrived early to pick us up and took is to some iconic places to see the sun set. It was an amazing tour and he knew a lot about Athens answering questions me and my sister asked him. The vehicle was nice and comfy and he provided bottled water. I can highly recommend this tour with this guide

We had a private tour. It was great! The operator was very knowlegeable and he drove safely! We especially enjoyed the drive around Piraeus port from our cruise ship. The night views of the Acropolis were spectacular!

We had our tour with Nikos, that was some of the best time we had in the city. Nikos showed us awesome points of interest in Athens and Piraeus. He asked questions of us and engaged well with us. We were never left uninformed of where we were going or what we could expect to see next. My wife and I had a great time with everything we saw that day. Representing the tour included admission to the Acropolis is very misleading. It’s not included and you can’t just walk up and buy the tickets. As a result none of us were able to go. Had they simply stayed the tickets were not included we could’ve gone on line and purchased them.

We would advise you to read the description and details of the tour better and the inclusions do not mention anywhere that we include tickets for the Acropolis ( PARTHENON PASS WITHOUT STOPPING) and it Is a panoramic relaxed tour. It is an unfair criticism because we provided you an excellent service with an experienced English-speaking driver and a comfortable Mercedes Minibus vehicle. Also, the Acropolis has strict visiting hours and in the evening 7 o’clock is the last entrance and the hours that our night tour starts are after 7. Waste of money. This was just a glorified expensive taxi service. Driver did speak any English. He did not try to even make an attempt to tell us where we were going and tried to skip a few places. When we complained that this was ending within an hour he took us to a place not on the agenda.

All our drivers are very knowledgeable and share a lot of information about the places visited,however, it is very difficult the communication with travellers who speak limited English! We encourage you to carefully read all the details of the tour because you asked for the driver more stations that not included in the tour and at the same time you requested for free dinner that also not included. Especially, you requested offensively to the driver to offer you free dinner and when he showed you the voucher that it was not included, of course the bad review happened, which has nothing to do with reality and the other reviews of the tour. I had a great time, the night tour in Athens was a great experience! My guide was excellent, friendly and very knowledgeable! We stopped at the most famous sights of Athens and then we visited the seaside area of Athens, which is really worth seeing and relaxing with a walk by the sea! I recommend this tour to those who want to see the most romantic side of Athens!
