Anne Frank privat cykeltur i Amsterdam

Beskrivning

Angie was a great guide! Very rewarding and exciting! I recommend! To do again with the family!
Had a brilliant time riding our bikes through Amsterdam with our super star guide Timo! He was full of knowledge about everything (being a historian amongst other things) relating to Amsterdam, the Jewish community past and present, Anne Frank (of course) and lots more.... Totally enjoyable and worth it....!
Hello! Thanks for sharing with is your experience. Yes no doubts the tour guide was super star and also getting this opportunity to do it biking can be awesome. Thanks again for your comments. We appreciate it. Have a good day!
This tour takes you on the part of Annes life pre-hiding! We shaw the house she lived, the bookshop she bought the diary from. The school she visited. These are all factors that made Anne the young woman she was! Brilliant tour and well worth it!
Very nice route, where you go to all places, where Anne Frank has lived and lived, extensive background information, also nicely matched with extra footage, for example people with disabilities or children, highly recommended!
My husband and I loved this bike tour that highlighted Anne Frank's short life and the area she grew up in. Timo is extremely knowledgeable and made this tour one of the best I've ever been on.
Great to know that this has been one of the best tours you have had, and that Timo was your tour guide! Than you for this review :)
The Anne Frank bike tour, led by Timo, was a highlight of our trip to Amsterdam. This tour included exterior stops at: *The Portuguese Synagogue that was a hub of life in Amsterdam's Jewish Quarter for centuries. *Anne Frank's childhood home on the Merwedeplein. *The actual bookshop (still in business) where Anne Frank's father purchased her diary. We were able to go inside the bookstore and buy something if we wished. *The Montessori School (also still functioning) that Anne attended throughout her childhood. Timo is a Holland native with a degree in history, in addition to being a laid-back, friendly person. He shared his extensive knowledge about the history of Amsterdam's Jewish community and the story of Anne Frank clearly and concisely, and with genuine caring. He was also a safe and skilled bicycle guide. A few tips: *This tour does not include a visit to the official "Anne Frank House" (where Anne & her family were in hiding). To visit that museum, you will need to book an online ticket from that museum's website, preferably 2 months in advance. *Bring cash in case you want to buy anything at the little bookstore where Anne Frank got her diary. They don't accept credit cards. *No fancy cycling skills or athletic ability is required, except to be able to ride a bike, with occassional breaks, for the duration of the tour. If you haven't been on a bike in 10 years or never really felt confident on a bike, then you should book the Anne Frank walking tour instead. Three would-be members of our tour group had to switch tours early on because one of their party clearly wasn't ready to ride without training wheels. Timo handled it smoothly & kindly, but imo it should go without saying that if you're going to book a bike tour, you need to be able to ride a bike.
Very complete review and recommendations for our bike tour led by Timo! We are happy to know that it was a highlight in your trip to Amsterdam! Thank you :)
We elected for this option after not being able to get AF museum tickets. SO INTERESTING and enjoyed by our group of women aged 44-70. Bike pace was leisurely. Safe. Informative. Our guide, Timo, was a Dutch college graduate who had extensively studied history and genocide. At each stop (AF home before hiding, bookstore, monument, school) Timo would provide interesting facts about AF and pull out corresponding photos. Tour ran roughly 2 hours and was not physically demanding. A nice way to see the city and learn more about AF.
