Både gömda bakom gardiner av grönt eller sträcker sig mot himlen och passerar sitt djungellandskaps tak, de skyddade ruinerna av Angkor avslöjar något majestätiskt, omedvetet för dem som inte har satt sin fot inom dess ramar. Dessa möten kan vara dina att ta upp, njuta av och beundra från olika vinklar när du väl väljer att ge dig ut innan solen går upp och se hur fantastisk en dag inne i Angkor börjar. Att lägga till en autentisk transportsmak till resan, att ta sig runt med tuk-tuk lockar även den mest rutinerade resenären.

Din guide och tuk-tuk-tur välkomnar dig tidigt på morgonen på ditt bokade hotell i Siem Reap och bege dig till huvudporten till Angkor-templen och gör din tidiga morgon att stanna för att se soluppgången. Utan tvekan den största religiösa byggnaden i världen, med en stenvolym som motsvarar Cheops-pyramiden i Egypten, är den till skillnad från alla andra Khmer-tempel genom att den vetter mot väster. Dess symmetriska torn är stiliserade på den moderna kambodjanska flaggan. Angkor Wat skapades av Suryavarman II och tog uppskattningsvis 30 år att bygga.
Du återvänder till ditt hotell för frukost, och vi flyttar tillbaka till Angkor-templen för att beundra några av de andra inspirerande tempelruinerna som definierar Angkor och gör det till en stolt medlem av UNESCO:s världsarvslista. Via South Gate besöker vi Angkor Thom. Den stora staden Angkor Thom är en av de centrala punkterna i hela Angkor-komplexet, som förmodligen var mer överdådigt än de flesta europeiska städer i slutet av 1100-talet. Denna tio kvadratkilometer stora stad är omgiven av en åtta meter hög mur och omgiven av en hundra meter lång vallgrav som sägs ha varit bebodd av häftiga krokodiler.
Vi fortsätter till Bayon och Preah Khan-templet innan lunch. Bayon är ett mästerverk från 1100-talet som ligger i centrum av Angkor Thom City och är ett arkeologiskt under av symmetri och storhet. De yttre galleriväggarna har omfattande basreliefer men huvuddragen är tornen, vart och ett med 3 eller 4 försiktigt leende ansikten, över 200 totalt.
Fortsätt till Preah Khan, "The Sacred Sword", ett omfattande klosterkomplex som täcker över 56 hektar byggt av Khmer-kungen Jayavarman VII som ett kloster- och undervisningskomplex.
Ditt trehjuliga motoriserade fordon tar oss till Ta Nei-templet och Tao Keo-templet nära östra Baray. Båda är mindre kända, men ändå lika intressanta som alla andra tempelruiner.
Slutligen byggdes Ta Prohm av Jayavarman VII som en helgedom för sin mor och är ett annat måste-se. Medan man röjde tillbaka skogen beslöt man att lämna dem på plats för att tjäna som en påminnelse om hur de ursprungliga upptäckterna hittade den och andra tempel. Din tuk-tuk väntar vid den östra porten och tar dig bekvämt tillbaka till din övernattningsadress där du kommer fram runt kl. 18.00.

Definitely worth being ready at 5:00 a.m. for this tour. The sunrise is spectacular. Make sure to stand on the left side of the main walkway (closest to the market selling souvenirs). This way you will see the sun come up between the towers of Angkor Wat. If you can, climb the stairs to the upper level. It’s on the backside of the temple. You will be rewarded with the chance to step into the inner portion of the building.

Your tip about the left side of the main walkway is precious, many visitors miss the best angle! And accessing the upper level is indeed that little extra that makes all the difference. We were picked up on time and our guide was excellent. We saw a beautiful sunrise then had breakfast at a small cafe opposite Angkor Watt before entering into the historical area. Our guide was charming and very knowledgable. We came away from Angkor Watt better informed and much more appreciative of this wonder of the world

We had a wonderful informative tour with our guide Maow. We learned a lot about the history of this fantastic temple or should I say city of temples and took some amazing photos from sunrise to the early afternoon. I would recommend this company to others looking for an informative English-speaking guide.
Being picked up at 5am can be a bit rough but definitely worth it when you see the amazing sun rise over the temple. Our tour guide took us to a perfect viewing location and we were very lucky to see the sunrise with very few tourists around us. This is the best way to experience the beautiful temples. Our guide was fantastic. He really knew a lot of history and could answer any question we had on Cambodia. We saw all the important features of the temples and learned about the history. There were 4 of us so we had 2 tuk tuk's and the guide switched from one tuk tuk to another so everyone can take advantage of his knowledge. As being a private tour we had the option of choosing where to spend more time and how. The guide was nice to take us a second time to Angkor Wat upon request so we can capture some more pictures of the temple in daylight. Because of this me and my group highly recommend this tour.

What a great way to experience the beautiful temples. You start at 5am with a pickup from your hotel in a Tuk Tuk (a motorcycle pulling a trailer with comfy seats and a roof). By 5:40 we were positioned outside the main temple, Angkor Wat, to watch the sun rise behind it. It was really beautiful. Our guide made sure we were standing in just the right spot for great pictures. We then went to a restaurant to borrow their tables to eat our hotel boxed breakfast (which unfortunately consisted of several forms of bread products and a small orange - recommend you ask your guide if you can buy a breakfast of local foods in the complex rather than eat the boxed breakfast). The other option is to return to your hotel for breakfast but then you lose much of the cooler morning temperatures for your tour. Our guide Shokeit (sp?) was fantastic. He really knows his history and can answer pretty much any question you might have regarding Cambodian history and politics. He showed us all the important features of each temple and explained the history behind each one very thoroughly. I can’t imagine wandering around the enormous complex on your own. You would miss so much and it would take 2 to 3 times as long. Our Tuk Tuk driver was great and always waiting for us with fresh cold bottled water and cold towels. I highly recommend this tour.
My girlfriend and I did the tuk tuk tour at sunrise and were so glad that we did. Tuk tuk’s seemed like the ideal way to cover a lot of ground quickly and effortlessly and we found ourselves appreciating the fact that we were not crammed into a bus or, god-forbid, roughing it on a bicycle and on foot in the heat and humidity. I have to admit that I originally was considering touring the temples on our own - what a mistake that would have been. This private tour was so worth it and definitely a highlight of our trip! Kaden and the tuk tuk driver met us at our hotel early in the morning, drove us to the ticket office (the office takes a photo of you for the ticket) and then to Angkor Wat to watch the sunrise. I was a little skeptical of starting there after seeing how crowded the sunrise is, but it turned out to be the right call as I'm glad we checked off this temple first. After sunrise we ate breakfast at the nearby stand (our hotel provided a packed one, but we purchased coffees) at which point I once again became concerned about us "wasting time." If only I would have slowed down and enjoyed the moment. My biggest concern was that we would not see enough of the complex (we unfortunately only had one full day to do so), but after Angkor Wat, we saw temple after temple. I was very satisfied with what we saw, although I could easily see how one could spend a week here. Despite how much I read about the size of the Angkor complex (in overall area), I still was not prepared for just how far each temple was from one another. In fact, I cannot see how one would do this without a tour. Our guide Kaden was excellent - informative, friendly, easy to understand and packed a lot into our day. Our driver was very friendly as well. I highly recommend this tour and am very thankful we got to see everything we did.
It takes at least 5 days to visit all the sites and their many temples. Be in good physical condition to climb, walk long and interact with guides and locals. Organizing your own trip leaves time to see everything , and walk in Tuk Tuk at least day. Site ravaged at the moment.
