Denna halvdagstur tar dig genom 7 byar i Andros och upptäck Andros rika natur och kultur. Din första stopp kommer att vara i byn Paleopoli där du ser resterna av öns gamla huvudstad och lära dig historien. Sedan tar du dig till byn Menites där du kommer att se byn, lejonfjädrarna och den stora valnötskogen. Där väntar ett magiskt trick på dig. Då ska du åka till byn Apikia och till Pithara-vattenfall. Vattenfallen är ett av ett slags skådespel som du inte kommer att se någonstans på Kykladerna. Din nästa stopp kommer att vara i Foros grotta, du kommer att se den lilla men spännande grottan. Du kommer att lära dig om klipporna och legenderna på denna mystiska plats. Din sista stopp kommer att vara i Chora, Andros moderna huvudstad. Du kommer att se marknadens asfalterade vägar, den osynliga sjömanstatyn, det venezianska slottet och sedan har du 45 minuter ledig tid tills du går tillbaka till Batsi.

My wife and I took a half day tour of Andros with Savvas - just us with him which we found thoroughly enjoyable. His historical, geographical, cultural and environmental knowledge of Andros and other islands is exemplary. Savvas also organised a day trip to the island of Tinos for us which too was great. We thoroughly recommend VLM who are fair and reasonably priced.

My wife and I took a half day tour of Andros with Savvas just us and the guide. He turned up at our hotel (Kantouni) at the appointed time. We had a wonderful excursion, saw all the sites we wanted to and enjoyed Savvas's company. He had a wealth of knowledge covering the history, geography, environmental and wildlife aspects of the island and Greece generally. The price was good value too. He turned our holiday around as we had both been ill and missed out on a number of walks we had planned. He was able to cover many of these.
We really enjoyed our tour today. We visited a variety of places, including a monestry, some old villages, a hidden waterfall and the main town. We heard a great deal about the history of the island and life here now. All explained in a friendly, easy going way by our driver/guide. The group was small enough to have all our questions answered and to flex for individual needs. We have a much better appreciation of the island and its history after just a few hours on the trip.
What a great tour. Savvas made the tour interesting, informative and helped us gain a perspective of Andros we could not have achieved without his guidance. He is passionate about what he does, and his love for the island is very evident. We saw many of the sights of the island, had a few minutes of free time in Andros Town and had a very memorable day.
Booked with VLM Travel but their office here in Andros is still closed & they passed our booking onto a different travel agency. Our half day tour should have been over 5 hours but it didn’t even take 4 hours. After having done many other tours on different islands, this was underwhelming for the price. It just didn’t feel like there was much to do or see.
We took a five hour tour to a couple mountain springs, the Panachrantou monastery, the Pithara waterfalls, a taverna in Minutes, and several high elevation viewpoints around Andros. Chantal was very flexible with the itinerary, inviting our feedback, and generous with her time. Highly recommended – we would not have had the same full understanding of this ancient, deeply resonant island without this tour.
This tour is a great way to get around the island and see the highlights including some that would be very difficult to access using public transport. Chantal was a fantastic tour guide, very knowledgeable, friendly and an excellent driver (on some tricky roads!). She was really flexible about where to take us and amended the trip based on our interests. We probably went over the time slot but never felt like we were rushed and also enjoyed a relaxing coffee at one of the stops.
We only had 3 days in Andros so decided to book this tour to give us a flavour of the island. Chantal our guide was superb. So knowledgable and a fantastic driver. She packed a lot into the 5 hours and it was great value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed this trip and would highly recommend it. Thank you Chantal!
Wonderful experience! A perfect thing to do if you’re on on Andros for 1 day. You get to see all the beautiful areas of Andros and learn about the historical significance of the island.
Superguide, she also spoke Dutch so great for us. She took her time to answer all our questions. Definitely recommended!
