För det sista besöket går vi till Byeongsan Seowon som är konfuciansk skola som grundades av kända konfucianska forskare för att hedra minnet om Seong-nyong Ryu • Turist kommer att hämtas och skickas på ett hotell i Seoul eller i närheten av Seoul. Turist kan gå och känna riktigt gammal traditionell by där fortfarande förbli en gammal kultur och traditionella koreanska hus. Denna underbara traditionella byn vid havet - en Unesco världsarvslista - är en plats att kommunicera med det gamla Sydkoreas traditionella tyg och i de upptagna månaderna med stora folkmängder av besökare. Undvik helgerna, gå off-season och belönas med en glimt av bucolic förtrollning och de sköna rytmerna i landsbygdens byliv.
Buyongdae är en klippa som ligger 64 meter hög, där Taebaeksan Mountain Range slutar. Från toppmötet kan man få en fågelperspektiv av Hahoe Village i Andong. Namnet togs från en gammal historia i Kina. Betydande lotus, namnet Buyongdae sägs ges för Hahoe Villages konfiguration som en lotusblomma. Således kan man få den bästa utsikten över byn från klippan. Beläget nära Buyongdae är Ogyeonjeongsa House, Gyeomamjeongsa House och Hwacheon Seowon Academy.
Hahoe Mask Museum ligger i Andong Hahoe Village, som både är en UNESCOs världsarvslista och viktiga folklore material nr 122. Hahoe Village är en representativ traditionell koreansk folkstad och är hemmet för Hahoe Mask (National Treasure No. 121) och Byeolsin Gut Mask Dance (Viktiga immateriella kulturella egenskaper nr 69). Museet visar inte bara Hahoe-masker, utan även andra traditionella masker från hela världen. Museet består av fem permanenta utställningsrum och en speciell utställningshall, som rymmer ett stort antal masker från hela världen tillsammans med Hahoe-masker. Museet erbjuder också aktivitetsprogram som bär på en mask, maskerad konst, foto zon och mycket mer.
Byeongsanseowon är en konfuciansk skola som grundades av erkända konfucianska forskare för att hedra Seong-nyong Yu (1542-1607), som var väl respekterad för hans skrifter och personlighet. Hans mortuary tablett är anhrined vid denna skola. Runt tiden 1863 hade konfucianska skolor många friheter enligt Joseonregeln, skolans elever och forskare var befriade från beskattning och andra utgifter. Byeongsan Seowon var en av 47 platser i hela Korea och 2 i Andong förstördes inte under regimen av Daewongun [Politiker av Joseon Imperial Family, 1820 ~ 1898] 1868. Nakdong-Gang River ligger precis framför Confucian Academy. Korsa floden och byeongsanbergen finns. Genom att bilda en hopfällbar skärmform kring akademin, skyddar bergen både och lägger en lugn skönhet i området.

Everything about this trip was more than I expected. Mr BJ Kwon was an excellent guide who avoided the crowd and took me to some awesome photography spots as I needed. Also, the Andong chicken was delicious. I couldn’t have ask for a better experience. Thank you Mr. Kwon.

- we did not receive the vehicle as mentioned in the advertising - we paid our food ourselves 60.000K won either is was included, I checked once I was back at hotel to verify as I did not want to argue with the driver to not ruin my family day. The organisation made a refund of 40 EURO which is appreciated. - the guide did not have much additional knownledge, he grabed a paper guide onsite and guided us based on that paper. This I could have done myself - conclusion I paid 500 EURO for 3 persons, worth it? Yes the village is beautiful and something completely different from what you see in Seoul as you are in the country side. But I expect from a guide that he tells me the ins and outs. - BTW the guide was very very kind no comments on that But I do not recommend unless you have the gurantee of a good and professional guide...
We are very sorry to hear that you didn’t have a good time with us. But, we would like to correct something you pointed out above. The vehicle, KIA Carnival, which we provided for you is exactly the same as explained on the web. In terms of lunch, your guide could have dealt with the lunch payment right away if you asked him earlier on the spot something different from your original contract. You didn’t have to keep it secret. Anyhow, we refunded the lunch payment immediately when you gave us a call later. On your phone call, as you called your tour guide “rubbish”, however, he is not as rubbish as you thought. He has been very qualified and dedicated to guiding our people. He didn’t do only walking you with the paper map, but also sharing with you verbally all kinds of background knowledge of the village. According to your guide, you guys didn’t seem to listen to what he said during the tour. Yes, definitely, you could travel in your own with zero Euro on Google in your PC. Once again, we are very sorry to have you on our tour.
The trip started with on time 7.30am pick up. Our private tour guide, Chance Kim, is absolutely fantastic, knowledgeable, friendly n jovial. The trip took us almost 3 hours to reach destination - Unesco heritage Andong Village. We had a good 2 hours walk in the village with detailed explanation from Mr Kim, whom also acted as our photographer. What a bonus!! Overall, it was an enjoyable & meaningful trip for us. This is a trip worth every cent paid for. Thank u Mr Kim...

My sister (Carol) and I were in South Korea touring with my daughter and her husband. My daughter was born in the Andong area of South Korea and my husband and I adopted her about 31 years ago. First trip to Korea for me. It was so great going to the Andong area, where she is from. What made it even greater is Chase, our tour guide! We toured the Andong Hahoe Folk Village and because we were the only two people on this tour (we went in mid-November, very non touristy time of year) we got great information and special attention from Chase. Topping on the cake was that Chase took lots of photos of Carol and I and shared these with us. This tour was definitely a highlight of our Korean adventures and I highly recommend it!
