Amboseli nationalpark är en av Kenyas safaridestinationer ett land med jättelika elefanter med en befolkning på cirka 1800 elefanter som är därför också kallad hem för elefanter och stora katter inklusive lejon, geparder och leoparder, alla i uppsättningen mot det högsta afrikanska berget Kilimanjaro. Det är en vacker kompakt park med massor av vilda djur inklusive vattenbockar, bufflar, giraffer, vilda grisar (våtsvin) hyenas håla som är lätt att upptäcka och olika fåglar inklusive flamingoes och vattenfåglar som crakes, kungsfiskare, pelikaner, hamerkop och 47 rovfåglar som ses i träskens livsmiljö. Parken har ett bra utbud av boende som passar olika budgetar och stilar. Amboseli ekosystem är ett världsberömt hem för massajfolket rikt på kulturarv och pastorala metoder.

After our first introduction (visit to Nairobi NP - review elsewhere on Tripadvisor), we scheduled a 2 day visit to Amboseli with Peter. He took all organisation out of our hands and was very kind and helpful where needed. The visit itself was great, Amboseli is well worth visiting. We took some great pictures. Peter took us to a Masai village on the second day which was also very worthwile. Also, the stay at Ol Tukai resort is recommendable. They have well equipped rooms with mosquito nets and serve very good and diverse meals (buffetstyle). If you’re vegetarian then there is still plenty to choose from.
