Valentino was an absolute pleasure to spend time with during my day trips to the Amalfi Coast and Florence. From the moment I met him, he was professional, personable, and incredibly knowledgeable. His passion for Italy’s history and culture was evident in every conversation, and he truly enriched my experience with his wealth of knowledge. What I appreciated most was that Valentino didn’t just drive me from place to place—he helped me experience Italy. He took me off the beaten path to enjoy some of the best food and espresso I’ve had on this trip, and he knew exactly where to find wonderful shopping opportunities, which was high on my list. Those personal touches made all the difference. Most importantly, I felt completely comfortable with him. By the end of our time together, it felt less like I was traveling with a driver and more like I was spending time with an old friend. His kindness, professionalism, and genuine care for his guests made these two days some of the highlights of my trip. I highly recommend Valentino to anyone visiting Italy. He is truly exceptional.

We had an amazing experience with our driver, Michael. He was very humorous and checked in with us regularly when we were in Sorrento since we unfortunately hit heavy rains while we were shopping. Then we went to a lovely family owned winery near the Vesuvius Mountain and had a delicious lunch and amazing wines at Tenuta Le Lune del Vesuvio. Even though we knew we would spend the majority of the time in the vehicle, it was well worth the trip!

Omg this was one of the best days of our trip. SAL was an absolute hero. He never stopped entertaining us for 13 hours. This was absolutely perfect for a mixed age group short on time. I love how could customize the day we wanted. Of note, do not book this day on a Wednesday as the famous restaurant is closed. If we every come back to Italy would want Sal as our driver, such wicked cool man, and if possible an even better driver

Great trip with Luigi guiding us through the highlights of the coast (Positano) as well as a beautiful lunch at a winery and a seamless tour of Pompeii.

Our Best of Rome & Vatican tour was amazing!!! Ricardo was a perfect driver. We felt very safe. In addition, he was so informative and knowledgeable. He was very flexible with what we wanted to do. We decided on a sit down lunch at a restaurant. He made us a reservation at an incredible place! When we got tired towards the end of our tour he took us to the hotel at our convenience. Monik our Vatican tour guide was also incredible! She was so informative. Having a guided Vatican tour with just the two of us was definitely the way to go. We were able to see so much and could hear and understand everything she said. Please extend our gratitude and appreciation to both! We will recommend Rome Private Excursions to all of our friends and plan to use you again in the future!

We absolutely LOVED our trip and our driver! Each day Dominico was on time, pleasant and prepared. He was knowledgeable and took us to "local" spots that we would have never found on our own. I would recommend this group to anyone visiting the area.

Tour operator Luca was great, responsive and made great suggestions to customize the trip. Good English-speaking driver. Would recommend research the places well in advance so that you can spend the few hours in each stop wisely and also plan well the steep walking involved.

Christiano picked us up bright and early to have plenty of time to enjoy the coast and excursions. We visited the Almalfi Coast and were given options of things to do between lunch overlooking Positano or walking the shores of Sorrento. Then we visited Pompeii. Beware that the day trip is pricey- You pay the initial fee plus extra for guide, food, drinks, etc. We spent over $1300. But it was very nice to make choices and have expert guidance if you don't know the area. My only struggle was we were in the car for a long period of time and the coastal roads are quite swervy, so I recommend bringing Dramamine and requesting breaks if you have car sickness! (Christiano was very helpful and drove safely). It is almost 7 hours of driving and 4 hours of excursions, so bring entertainment for the road. In hindsight, I realize we should have stayed near the coast instead of doing such a long day trip. Was pretty tiring!
