Beskrivning

Utforska Bukarest annorlunda!

Discover another side of Bucharest

Street art tells a lot about a city recent history. Very interesting to discover the artists and the areas they reclaim. Great tour with Alex and Mara (and her dog 😉). It was a good mix of explanations from Alex, very knowledgeable, and of discussing between the us the meaning of some of these huge art pieces.

A thinking persons tour of colorful Bucharest

A lovely walk, with great company, exploring some of the fantastic murals and graffiti of Bucharest. Also a few interesting and challenging conversations that make you think.

Elena gifted us insights and confidence.

My teenage daughter and I were lucky enough to be guided by Elena. A calm yet extremely personable and cheerful person who made us feel very at ease within minutes of our meeting. We felt immediately safe in her knowledgeable hands. The whole tour was interesting and incredibly enjoyable. Elena shared details of Romanian history and married them beautifully to the wide category of street art and its motivations. Along the way we were gifted so many insights into Bucharest and all its glorious differences, from the strong culture to the mundane. Honestly don’t miss out on this experience, we came away feeling like we had more than one foot in the city. Elena gave us the confidence to explore Bucharest like a local. Many many Thanks.

Amazing alternative tour of street art in the city!

This tour was so fun and my favourite thing that I did in my short time in Bucharest! I was meant to be with a friend but plans changed so I rocked up on my own but Elena instantly made me feel comfortable about it. It was really easy to find her at the meeting point (on other tours I’ve sometimes found that difficult but not on this one) There was another couple on the tour so 3 of us plus Elena. Elena was so knowledgeable and insightful about all the art we saw on the tour. I am not well versed in art and interpretation but she gently encouraged me to examine the different works, say what we saw and how it made us feel, I loved that. The walking was not too much which was good as it was a very hot day but it seemed like we covered a lot of ground. I am not sure if it was part of the tour but we stopped to get some tasty treats and I enjoyed eating them as we walked around. I loved the art but my favourite part was the social housing street (I won’t say anymore so as not to ruin the surprise) There was toilet stops available whjch I appreciated and we were able to stop in shade to look at the street art which was great, Elena looked after us very well. I am so glad I chose this tour out of the tours I saw on Trip Advisor. It was fun, interesting and Elena was very friendly, charming and engaging, a perfect tour guide, thank you for showing me your beautiful city Elena! 🖤

Highly recommended!!

We hade just one full day in Bucharest and chose this tour over the more "official" sites. We couldn't be happier with our choice! The group was small, we were five. Alex was a superb guide, insightful, engaging and accommodating. We got so much more than just to see the highlights of Bucharest street art: we learned about the history of street art, the local street art scene, the artists, the stories behind the works, etc. Alex also enlightened us on the general history of Romania, and answered any questions we might have about the country. Such an inspiring experience, sincerely recommended!

Interesting way to know about street art

Had a great guide in Alex who shared the history of street art in Bucharest. I did the ‘usual’ walking tour a week ago and this an alternative tour that I strongly recommend. Alex showed us the ways to appreciate street art in a different light. And like all art, it’s up to our interpretation as well!

Informative and interesting walk in Bucharest

We met Mara at the agreed time at our hotel. She is very warm and welcoming. She took us round Bucharest and for a city full Of history, she is extremely knowledgeable . The walk was fun, interesting and informative . It’s a great way to see and learn about Bucharest . Mara is interesting and impressively answered every question we had . The walk itself is not taxing so should be appropriate for all ages and abilities .

Street Art & Graffiti Tour, Bucharest

We walked the heart of Bucharest with our utterly engaging, knowledgeable guide called Elena. She showed us a wide selection of great street art in this city with many secrets. I particularly liked the way she spent time with different members of our group answering questions. It was an immensely pleasurable tour. As a bonus we also found out about cool cafes, plus we benefitted from Elena's historical perspective. The best thing (apart from the art) was Elena's hope, optimism and love for her city. I fell in love with the old lady of Bucharest through the stories she told to us. Thank you so much Elena. Highly recommend!
