Vårt första stopp är Efesos, känt i antiken för sitt Artemis tempel under åren av det romerska imperiet, den grekiska hamnen i Efesos blev den största staden i Mindre Asien. Du kommer att börja din Efesos-utflykt vid den övre Magnesia-porten och arbeta dig ner genom staden, som slutar nära den antika hamnen. Längs vägen kommer du att se Forum, Odeon, biblioteket i Celsus, termalbaden i Scolastika och den stora teatern, byggda på den grekiska eran och rekonstruerade under den romerska perioden. Den har varit värd för så varierande program som Paulus och hans predikningar till Efesierna, till konserter av Sting, delvis på grund av dess anmärkningsvärda akustik. Du kommer att gå längs Arcadian Way, där Mark Antony och Cleopatra en gång red i procession. Du kommer att höra berättelser om Alexander den store, Jungfru Maria och många andra kända besökare som gick på samma marmorgator som du går.
Kör till Jungfru Marias hus. Jungfru Marias hus är ett av de pilgrimsfärdcentrum för kristna där Jungfru Maria passerade hennes nyligen tid och dog. Påven Paul VI besökte helgedomen 1967 och "inofficiellt" bekräftade dess äkthet. Påven Johannes Paul II och påven Benedict XVI har besökt denna helgedom LUNCH INKLUDERAS

It was easy to find our tour host the moment we stepped off the ship. We were then picked up in a very large, luxurious, air-conditioned Mercedes-Benz van, which had a dedicated driver independent from our tour host. This allowed our tour host to 100% focus on giving us history and education along the way and not having to worry about logistics. We started at the House of Mary, which was interesting but not all that large. We continued to Ephesus, which could take up multiple hours, but we did the "short version." It was still incredibly interesting to learn about the city, how it contrasted and compared to what you would find in Greece and Rome, and our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the history and the archeology, etc. The highlight of the day was the lunch, which was a great experience for our family. Everybody found something that they enjoyed, and it was attached to the rug shop, which was our next stop. The education portion of the rug shop was interesting for the kids and us, where we saw how rugs are made. They then put on the hard sell for us to buy a rug, but once we said we were not interested, there was no more pressure, and they let us leave. That was the end of our tour. We could have gone to see more about the leather making and the pottery in Turkey, but we chose to just end the day back at the port. It was a great experience, and I would highly recommend it. Just one thing to be aware of is you are going to be encouraged to spend some money on rugs, leather, or pottery, so go into that with eyes wide open.
What an incredible experience! I have never seen ruins so preserved like this ever. Also our guide was very knowledgeable about all the history of Ephesus and the Virgin Mary house. I throughly enjoyed the tour.

Our vehicle was clean and comfortable! Lovely hot and fresh lunch served and the staff were pleasant. I enjoyed the historical sites and the Turkish rug experience. Worth the time and money IMO.
The tour was informative, insightful & inspiring. Our guide, Zafer, is a wonderful, accommodating person. The tour of the ancient city of Ephesus was very interesting. The House of Virgin Mary was moving. We stopped for some traditional Turkish food & beer which tasted fantastic. The stop at a Turkish rug weaver & ceramic shop was eye opening. Purchased items from both businesses at a very fair price. Would recommend this tour to anyone. Read less
Our guide Pinar Sezer-Ulpinar was EXCEPTIONAL!! She provided a thorough tour of all of ruins on our tour, visits to jewelry shops, and a leather store where my wife got to be part of a rode runway show! (Of course we couldn't walk out empty handed!) The leather goods there are amazing; soft and light. Next was a delicious lunch in a beautiful garden nezt to a place where local artisans craft handmade Turkish rugs. I'd also like to add, and thank Pilar and our driver for finding a local phone repair shop for is where they were able to fix my phone in record time while we were on our tour, before we had to head to our cruise ship. If you're looking for an incredible tour, book Pilar! She'll make sure you go home with terrific memories of Kushidasi!
Great tour! Conchita was great! She allowed us to customize/modify the tour along the way as we needed more time or less time in each place. It was truly a private tour. Top 2 tours ever and we have been on many many tours all around the world.
We had an absolutely wonderful Ephesus tour in Kuşadası, Turkey, thanks to our incredible guide, Fuson. She was fantastic from start to finish — warm, friendly, engaging, and truly delightful to spend the day with. Her English was excellent, which made the entire experience easy to follow and enjoyable. She also has a deep knowledge of Turkish culture, history, and the incredible ancient sites we visited. She brought Ephesus to life with fascinating stories, helpful context, and thoughtful explanations that made the tour so much more meaningful. Fuson is not only highly knowledgeable, but also genuinely kind, personable, and professional. We felt very lucky to have her as our guide and would highly recommend her to anyone visiting Kuşadası or Ephesus.
Incredible experience; from the very first moment, they picked us up at the port with our name and took us by van to Ephesus, where they explained the entire history. I want to highlight the impeccable work of Diğdem, who has been an excellent and wonderful guide, a ten out of ten person with an incredibly friendly personality. Afterwards, they took us to the house of the Virgin Mary, where we saw and explained everything, then to the Temple of Artemis, where they explained everything perfectly. We stopped for lunch at an excellent Turkish food place, and afterwards we went to a carpet workshop and leather fashion show. To conclude, they drop us off at the port where they picked us up on time. A super comprehensive tour, and above all, the most important thing is that it is with an incredible guide company.
