Hue är internationellt känd som den tidigare kejserliga huvudstaden i Nguyen-dynastin (1802-1945), men inom Vietnam är den också känd som landets gastronomiska huvudstad. För dem som är dedikerade till att hitta den allra bästa maten i staden och göra det på äkta vietnamesiskt sätt, är det enda sättet på baksidan av en motorcykel. Motorcykeln ger oss friheten att hitta de bästa platserna i staden för varje maträtt. Njut när våra förare/guider berättar historierna om Hues många rätter, ofta folkloristiska och våldsamt omtvistade, innan de hoppar tillbaka på cykeln för att återuppta din resa. Våra guider/förare är alla licensierade och erfarna motorcyklister och angelägna entusiaster av Hue-köket. Vi hämtar dig på ditt hotell och vi kommer att gå över till Hue Citadel och utforska de historiska gatorna och trädkantade avenyerna som gränsar till den kejserliga staden, som förutom sin skönhet och kulturella betydelse för staden också har några av de bästa maten i staden.

Vi tar dig att njuta av Com hen, som är en risrätt med lantliga ingredienser som babymusslor (höna) och färska örter kombinerade genom en sofistikerad process. Musslorna kokas för att skapa buljongen som ger sötma och djup till riset.
Du kommer att njuta av 3 traditionella kakor 1. Beo Cake`s Hue är en rismjölskaka som placeras i en aluminiumblister eller en liten kopp och sedan ångas. Den har vanligtvis en fördjupning i mitten som är täckt med en välsmakande blandning som innehåller färska räkor, mungbönor och stekt schalottenlök 2. Bánh bột lọc” är en av de mest populära kakorna i Hue. Kakan kommer att ångas, efter väl tillagad ta bort bladet för att äta. Degen är så genomskinlig att man kan se räkfyllningen inuti. Den andra har inte ett lövskydd utan bara dumpat, lägg sedan på en tallrik, förhöj smaken med stekt lök. Den här kakan måste serveras med en sötsur fisksås. 3. Nam kaka (ångad riskaka med räkor) är gjord av rismjöl, räkor, insvept i fryniumblad och serveras med fisksås.
Därefter kommer du att flytta till en annan sida av staden för att prova Bánh Khoái, som är (vietnamesisk pannkaka) i Hue, är utsökt tack vare hemligheten att blanda mjöl och buljong gjord av mer än 10 kryddor för att skapa en tjock sås.
Gå längs Huong-floden, korsa den mest kända Truong Tien-bron i Hue, sedan kommer du att njuta av Bún bò Huế som är ett vietnamesiskt kök. Det är en rik och kryddig soppa med djupa lager av smak. Denna centralvietnamesiska soppa är ihopkopplad med möra skivor av nötkött och fläsk, sedan toppad med massor av färska örter.
Efter Bun Bo Hue tar vi dig med att prova det mest unika brödet i Vietnam som heter Banh Mi, som är en vietnamesisk smörgås som består av en udda klingande kombination – knapriga semlor spacklade med paté, majonnäs, misstänkt asiatisk skinka, inlagd grönsaker, salladslök, koriander/koriander, en mäktig doft av färsk chili och klick krydda.
Du avslutar turen med Hue sötsoppa, så kallad "Che Hue", är en populär vietnamesisk gatumat. Det kan vara antingen en efterrätt eller ett mellanmål mitt på dagen. Che Hue är förmodligen den mest kända i landet. Som alla rätter från Hue är Che Hue utsökt, sofistikerad och subtil.

This was by far the best food tour I have been on! The food choices were customized to what I have and have not eaten before, which was exactly what I was hoping for! The places we visited were as local as things get, and the food was of outstanding quality. Delicious! I also learned so much about the different food regions in Vietnam, and why the Vietnamese food is so diverse from north to south. And, absolutely wonderful host and fun along the way!

Bem was our guide and it was awesome. She has only local family kitchens, has us super entertained and gave us other, very interesting insights besides food. After the 7 different restaurants you are still full the next day. Anytime again and highly recommended

We had the food tour with Ngoc and Tai! They were very flexible, since one of us was vegetarian. They chose local restaurants and streetfood-stands which offer vegetarian and non vegetarian food. The tour itself was amazing! We had the chance to try out so many local dishes! And we also managed to see a lot of the city while riding the scooter. We also learned a lot about the food culture here.

Myself and my partner wanted to try the local food but were unsure where to start. We opted for the scooter food tour. Ruby and Tai were amazing, they picked us up from our airbnb and took us to some very cool local places with the most amazing food! The food was so tasty, so many flavours, I loved all of them and it was hard to choose a favourite. We really liked the Com/Bun Hen, Banh Khoai, Banh nam and the local Banh Mi. Ruby taught us a bit of Hue history and about life in Hue. She also helped to cater to my partner, who is vegetarian. Tai was cool to hang out with as a young person of hue, and a great rider too! I loved this motorbike food tour with Ted and the other drivers who drove other members of my family! Hue might be one of the best cities to do a motorbike food tour as the roads are not as busy and food in the region is amazing 🤩 I feel really lucky to have a guide and eat local food (including Bun Bo Hue). Such a fun evening event, and great for people who don’t know where to start to eat this great regional cuisine.
