Alhambra, som ligger på Sabica-kullen, är en andalusisk palatinstad. Dess namn kommer från den rödaktiga färgen på dess väggar, som kommer från själva landets lera (Al-Hamra på arabiska). Den bildas av en grupp palats, trädgårdar och fästningar där det fanns ett citadell i själva staden Granada, dess huvudsakliga funktion var att tjäna som boende för monarken och hovet i Nasridriket Granada. Det finns också kristna bosättningar, som Karl V:s palats och kyrkan Santa Maria, byggd ovanpå den gamla moskén. Det är ett av de mest besökta monumenten i Spanien och förklarades som världsarv 1984. Carlos V:s palats är en renässanskonstruktion av arkitekten Pedro Machuca. Palatset är unikt i sin stil och bildar ett torg med en rund innergård inskriven inuti. Det är den spanska renässansens mest framstående verk.
Generalife är villan med trädgårdar som används av de muslimska kungarna i Granada som en plats för reträtt och vila. Det var tänkt som en lantlig villa, där prydnadsträdgårdar, fruktträdgårdar och arkitektur integrerades i närheten av Alhambra. Namnet vi ger Generalife-komplexet betyder bokstavligen Yannat al-Arif: "Arkitektens trädgård", en anspelning på trädgårdarna och fruktträdgårdarna som levererade frukt och grönsaker till Nasrid-hovet. Det palats som vi är på väg till, utformat som en viloplats för monarken, var dock vad poeten Ibn al-Jayyab kallade "lyckens kungliga hus".
Alcazaba är den äldsta delen av Alhambra, från arabiska: القصبة al-qaṣbah (citadell) var en befäst inhägnad av stadskaraktär, vars funktion var att tjäna som kungligt residens för Mohamed I tills palatsen stod färdiga, därifrån dess funktion var rent militärt.

Friendly local tour guide with a nice sense of humor. Ventura, our guide, welcomed questions and shared many stories and much history. We highly recommend this tour.
Terrible and recurring experience, as reported in several other reviews, already experienced by other people. We booked a guided tour at the Alhambra in Granada at least a month before the experience, spending €45 per person. When we arrived, we were told that there wasn't the necessary number of people to form a group with a guide in the requested language, so we were given a different ticket with an audio guide for €21. Upon our request for an explanation, we were advised to ask for compensation, and in the end, they only want to issue us a refund of €5 per person, when we spent at least double that extra amount, without having any alternatives. We will certainly proceed through the appropriate channels; this is a full-blown scam. Be careful about trusting them.
We loved our guide, ALBA JIMÉNEZ. She gave a very pleasant and very interesting tour. Everything she showed us was super attractive, educational, and very professional. We are very happy and grateful that Alba was our guide; she is super cordial and professional. A luxury!!
Too many people in the group and you can’t hear the tour guide plus she’s walking ahead and talking about things that, if you’re in the back oh the group, you can’t see what she’s talking about

When buying the tour, I didn't understand that I didn't choose the entrance to the Nasrid palace; it was a shame since the guide warned us that our visit ended very quickly. In my opinion, it is not well explained whether or not it includes the palace. Even after the tour, I went back to the website to look for the tour I had bought and look for the tour I really wanted to do, the one with the guided visit with the palace included. I liked the guided tour, the guide is TOP, she made the tour very pleasant and answered all our questions. Thank you for your attention!
I booked an entrance to the Alhambra with a guide for two with My Top Tour for the price of €112. That same morning, I was told that the tour was canceled and that I would have an audio guide as a replacement. When I asked for a refund, they replied that the refund would be €10. I heard that it happened to other groups or couples. Be careful!!!!

Vogliamo chiarire che la visita guidata richiede un numero minimo di partecipanti per poter essere realizzata. Quando questo minimo non viene raggiunto, il tour guidato non può svolgersi e viene offerta un’alternativa con audioguida, affinché il cliente possa comunque accedere all’Alhambra e realizzare la visita. Comprendiamo che una visita con guida e una visita con audioguida non siano la stessa esperienza, e ci dispiace che il cambio comunicato la stessa mattina abbia causato disagio. Per quanto riguarda l’importo del rimborso indicato, questo viene calcolato tenendo conto del fatto che i biglietti ufficiali erano già stati gestiti, insieme agli altri servizi inclusi nella prenotazione. Agreed on ticket + guide for 56 euros (21 for the ticket + 35 for the guide), paid in advance. A few hours before the tour, I am informed that instead of the guide, an audio guide will be provided and only 5 euros will be refunded. From this, one can deduce that the audio guide cost 30 euros! A scam to be reported to the competent authorities.

La prenotazione comprendeva non solo l’ingresso ufficiale all’Alhambra e al Generalife, ma anche servizi aggiuntivi forniti dalla nostra agenzia, come la gestione completa della prenotazione, l’assistenza al cliente e, in questo caso, l’alternativa tramite audioguida per permettere comunque lo svolgimento della visita. Il prezzo del biglietto ufficiale è quindi solo una parte dell’importo totale pagato, poiché il servizio include anche la gestione e il supporto associati all’esperienza. The guide knew less about the Alhambra than I did. All the information from the guide was already known to me and the guide didn't tell a couple of important things about the Alhambra. The guide didn't pay attention to where everybody of our (small, 9 people) group was so I was always far behind. Sometimes the guide was so far ahead that I lost reception on my headset.
