Detta är en dag av upptäckter och historia! Vår rutt följer mindre färdade stigar, vilket ger dig en kräsna vy över Portugals förflutna och nutid. Vi reser till staden Silves. Här finns det tid att besöka den imponerande katedralen och att vandra på de smala gatorna (entréavgifter ingår ej). Härifrån fortsätter vi vår uppstigning till Monchiqueberget. Vi kommer att besöka den charmiga lilla kurorten Caldas de Monchique, med källor med bevisade medicinska egenskaper. Efter den slingrande vägen når vi Algarves högsta punkt – Fóia – som ligger 902 meter över havet. Nedförsbacke sedan från Fóia, korsa landsbygden och stanna till i den lilla byn Marmelete där du har tid att njuta av lunch på en av de lokala restaurangerna (ingår). Efter lunch åker vi direkt till Costa Vicentina, för att besöka några magnifika stränder. Sedan är det vidare till "världens ände" - Cape St. Vincent. Passage genom Sagres, en typisk fiskeby och dess skyddade fiskehamn.

Vi fortsätter vår uppstigning till Monchique-bergen, en fristad av gröna, kuperade sluttningar, majestätiska korkträd och skarpa eukalyptuslundar.
Står på 902 meter över havet. Vyerna här är dramatiska och luften otroligt ren.
Besök några magnifika stränder där du kan ta dig tid att gå runt och ta några utmärkta bilder, koppla av och njuta av utsikten.
Sedan går det vidare till 'världens slut' - Sagres stad - berömda hem till Prince Henry's School of Navigation. Vid Cape St. Vincent (Europas mest sydvästra punkt) står en liten fyr uppe på klipporna och tappar elementen. Andas den uppfriskande havsluften och förundras över landskapets enorma omfattning.

What an amazing day! This tour took us from the mountain tops in the Monchique Mountains to the most southwestern part of Europe in Sagres and Cabo De San Vicente. Along the way, we stopped and had an absolutely fabulous lunch at the Restaurante O’Castelo. Muito delicioso!! The views along the way were breathtaking and the beaches spectacular. It was a full day, but we saw and learned much about the history and culture of the Algarve. I cannot say enough about Ricardo, our guide. He was amazing. 5-stars plus!! He treated us like we were VIP’s. Ricardo, a native of the Algarve, gave us an in-depth narrative on the history of the area along with a unique perspective of its culture. This made the day even more special for us. An outstanding day!!

The tour guide was very knowledgable about the area and we enjoyed his time with us but our group was picked up a bit late and returned at 1:30 pm instead of 3pm. We were supposed to go for a tour of a sardine museum but this didn’t happen.
Very interesting ride, Pieter as a tour guide was very informative and answered many questions. Highly recommended 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
