Som en del av din upplevelse gör vi ett kort stopp i Shkoder för en avkopplande fikapaus innan vi beger oss mot bergen. Det är en fantastisk chans att sträcka på benen, njuta av ett lokalt café och ta in lite av stadens charm innan äventyret börjar.
Innan vi når Theth gör vi ett nytt stopp i bergsbyn Boge. Här kan du ta in hisnande panoramautsikt, ta fantastiska bilder och njuta av en snabb sträcka omgiven av alpin skönhet.
Vid ankomsten till den pittoreska byn Theth, inbäddat djupt i de albanska Alperna, kommer du att välkomnas av hisnande utsikt över bergen, frisk alpin luft och den fridfulla charmen i traditionellt byliv. Vi börjar vårt besök med ett stopp vid den ikoniska Theth Church, ett av de mest fotograferade landmärkena i regionen. Omgiven av berg och ängar erbjuder denna lilla stenkyrka en perfekt introduktion till dalens andliga och kulturella hjärta. Därefter utforskar vi försoningstornet (Kulla e Ngujimit) – ett historiskt stentorn som användes som skydd under Albaniens gamla blodsfejdstradition. Efter en naturskön vandring genom skogar, floder och oländiga bergsstigar kommer vi fram till ett av Albaniens mest hisnande naturunderverk – Theths blå öga (Syri i Kaltër). Undangömt i ett dolt hörn av dalen är denna kristallklara naturliga källa känd för sin livliga turkosa färg, iskallt vatten och fridfulla omgivning. Omgiven av mosstäckta klippor och täta träd är Blue Eye en perfekt plats att koppla av, ta bilder och till och med doppa fötterna i det uppfriskande alpina vattnet.

Tedi might be a young guy, but his knowledge of the mountains, local culture, and history is exceptional. He recently started his own company, Albanian Path, and you can really feel his passion for showing people the true beauty of his country. From start to finish, he made us feel incredibly comfortable, safe, and welcome. He went out of his way to make sure we had the best possible experience, and his recommendations were spot on. This was the best, we had such a great time with Tedi! He was very flexible and was able to pick us up in Shkroder and drop us off in Tirana at the end of the tour. He was so nice and fun and the day was structured perfectly with enough stops, tours, and walking throughout the day. Theth and the blue eye were a must see for sure! The hike was really amazing and not too long (about 3 miles or 5km) and we got to jump in the water to cool off at the end. We considered going to Theth solo originally, but I am so glad we booked with Tedi instead! We saw so much more, learned so many cool facts, and felt much more relaxed than we would have otherwise. Tedi was a great tour guide and we had so much fun! Definitely book this trip and more with Tedi!
We had a wonderful day trip to Theth with our guide Teddy. We had a wonderful route, stopping at numerous beautiful places along the way to the Blue Eye. He made great conversation, he made us feel comfortable throughout the trip, and he made a restaurant recommendation that was delicious near the Blue eye. The day was thorough, almost 14 hours, but he maintained his energy and his positive spirit. We would certainly recommend any tour that he operates.
Tedi was amazing! My husband and I had an exceptional experience spending the day traveling to Theth and the Blue Eye. Tedi was great to talk to and informed us about Albanian history and culture along the way. He even taught us some Albanian! I hope to book with him again soon!
very good guide, gave attention to small details. i prefer private trips if possible, and it was a good decision.
What really stood out was not all the information, all the guiding, etc, that's already expected from a guide which he was amazing at, but it was how, during the hike, because it was difficult for me, he never let go of my hand, even once and successfully helped navigate the hike. Not showing an iota of disdain or annoyance. This was far beyond what was expected, very appreciated and thankful. This is why everyone should choose to go with this tour.
We had two amazing private tours with Albanian Path this week; one to Theth and the Blue Eye, and one to Apollonia Archeological Park and Himara. Our guide was very accommodating to our needs and wishes, very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Albania and enjoyable to spend time with. Would definitely highly recommend Albanian Path to anyone who wants a more personalized tour rather than going with a big tour group.
We had an absolutely wonderful day to Theth and the Blue Eye with Albanian Path!. On our journey to Theth, we learned so much about Albanian history and culture from our guide, Tedi. We had our own private tour and he was flexible and willing to stop whenever we wanted. All throughout the day, he shared his knowledge of the places we visited which added so much to our experience. The hike to the Blue Eye was challenging at times but well worth it to see the beauty along the way and at the end. Although we didn’t swim in the Blue Eye’s water, it was a stunning sight and a refreshing break after the hike. We highly recommend Albanian Path to anyone who would like a more personal tour experience with an extremely knowledgeable guide.
