Dionysos teater är en antik grekisk teater i Aten. Den är byggd på den södra sluttningen av Akropoliskullen, ursprungligen en del av helgedomen Dionysos Eleuthereus. Den första orkesterterrassen byggdes på platsen runt mitten av till slutet av 600-talet f.Kr., där den var värd för City Dionysia.
Odeon of Herodes Atticus är en romersk teaterbyggnad i sten belägen på sydvästra sluttningen av Akropolis i Aten, Grekland. Byggnaden stod färdig 161 e.Kr. och renoverades sedan 1950.

Great tour with very knowledgeable and kind guide who took good care of us in the heat and crowds. He really brought the past to life and was very patient answering all our questions. The two parts - Acropolis and museum - are great together but might be too much for some people.

Anna Maria allowed a relaxed pace to take in the sights. She offered lots of interesting information about the Acropolis , the mythology of the gods & history of Greece. A nice family day, travelling with my teenager.
We took an 8am guided tour of the Acropolis which was the best time to go as it wasn’t too hot and there were shaded areas along the route. The site was busy but with the guide we were able to get into the best spots for photos. Our guide was very informative and kept the children and adults entertained with myths and legends. It took approximately 1 -1.5HR to get to the top where you then get a little free time to wander around the site. There is a bottled water machine at the top which was much needed. The museum had a bit of a queue to get in but it was fine. Large backpacks need to be put in lockers as they are not allowed around the museum. We had a little break for coffee and toilets before the guide took us around the museum, which was fascinating. In summary, we all had a wonderful morning learning lots of history and myths of Greece. Just make sure to take water, hats and a fan. Would definitely recommend.
