Denna tur är engagerande och längre än andra turer, som erbjuder en tätare innehållsmässigt och en mer holistisk förståelse av Akropolis historia och dess verkliga värde för vår civilisation. Genom detta skapar det en meningsfull upplevelse som erbjuder viktiga lärdomar för oss som människor och som medborgare.

Som i varje bra historia börjar allt med en introduktion. Det är inte lätt att berätta historien om en av världens historiskt rikaste städer. Ändå strävar vi efter att ge våra gäster ett bredare perspektiv. Det är därför vi i början av turnén erbjuder en kortfattad lektion om skapandet av den mänskliga civilisationen, och sedan placerar vi den antika grekiska civilisationen — och Aten i synnerhet — inom den ramen, så att människor verkligen kan förstå dess betydelse och bidrag.
Det första monumentet vi får se på vägen upp till Akropolis är Dionysosteatern — den första teatern i mänsklighetens historia. Här föddes teater och drama som praktik, och här spelades de tidigaste pjäserna – tragedier och komedier – inför den atenska allmänheten. Dessa pjäser skrevs av några av de mest kända författarna genom tiderna, inklusive Sofokles, Euripides och Aischylos.
Vårt nästa stopp blir Herodes Atticus Odeon, som byggdes av stadens välgörare och berömda filosof från 200-talet e.Kr. till minne av hans avlidna fru.
Vid huvudingången till Akropolishelgedomen kommer vi att se Athena Niketemplet, tillägnat segergudinnan.
Därefter kommer vi att beundra utsikten över de historiskt viktiga omgivande kullarna, och gå uppför huvudtrappan som leder till det inre av helgedomen, allt medan du tar in den monumentala porten till Akropolis.
Vårt näst sista stopp blir Erechtheion, myternas och legendernas tempel, som ligger i centrum av Akropolis helgedom och är känt för sina unika skulpturer.
I slutet kommer vi slutligen att beundra "juvelen i kronan" — Parthenon. En gåva till Atens skyddsgudinna, det är mästerverket i klassisk antik grekisk arkitektur och den största tekniska prestationen i den demokratiska staten — symbolen för den västerländska civilisationen.
Efter att ha analyserat Akropolis kommer vi att ha en kort paus för bilder i 20 minuter. Efter det ska vi lämna Akropolis arkeologiska plats och vi ska besöka Areopago kullen där vi kommer att ha epilogen av turen med utsikt över den gamla atenska Agora.

Our guide, Harris/Haralamoos, had multiple graduate degrees and was hands down the most knowledgeable guide I’ve ever had. He made it fun also by having some of us guess answers and giving candies for rewards. Harris/Haralampos was the most knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate tour guide I’ve ever had. He was so kind and enthusiastic about everything he spoke of, and left no stone unturned when explaining about the history of the Acropolis and the the various civilizations that influenced the architecture, history and culture in Athens and beyond. You can tell Harris is not only extremely wise but truly loves what he does. Anyone would be lucky to have him as a guide. 10/10 would go back.
If you want the history of the Acropolis with a very passionate tour guide, this is the tour for you. He should be a History professor. If you want just a quick and easy tour this is not the tour for you. Be ready to learn a lot.
Our visit to the Acropolis was one of the highlights of our trip, and Harris made the experience exceptional. His knowledge of Greek history and mythology was outstanding, and he shared it in such an engaging and easy-to-understand way. Harris was friendly, enthusiastic, and happy to answer all of our questions. You can tell he is so passionate about the history which we loved. We left with a much deeper appreciation for this incredible place. We highly recommend this tour, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Harris as your guide! If you learn best by walking the same grounds as remarkable figures during significant moments in history and want to understand the social, political and religious influences of that time, this tour fulfilled it. Harris was thorough and engaging and found ways to link us all to the past. He had impactful words of empowerment as well. He kindly and patiently took photos of groups at highlight areas and gives a generous amount of time. Our tour was over 3 hours. So let him know ahead of time if you need to leave at a certain time. We were grateful for this unique experience!

This is a very detailed and informative tour, our guide Haralanpos was very knowledgeable about history and we had lots of philosophical discussions on the way around. It is quite a long tour which may not suit everyone but great fir history buffs
