För en kort besökare till Kigali gör detta en perfekt flykt ur staden för bara en dag, speciellt för konferens- och seminargäster som har en begränsad tid i landet. Med dessa turer kan du utforska de stora fem (Lions, Buffallos, Elephants, Rhinos och Leopards) i en av Rwandas äldsta park bara några timmar från Kigali. Bortsett från den korta enheten får du också njuta av landskapet och olika kulturer i Rwanda som finns längs vägen. Så om du är begränsad på din restid är det här den bästa resan för dig.

Akagera National Park ligger längs den östra gränsen till Rwanda, där den typiska kuperade landsbygden ger plats åt savannerna i Great Rift Valley. Domineras av sjöar, träsk och marshland, har området en enorm komplimang av natur och djurliv som inte finns någon annanstans i landet. Vi kommer att anlända till en morgonbiltur, letar efter de stora fem, noshörningar, lejon, buffalos, leopard och elefant i den expansiva parken.

I did an one day trip to Akagera National Park. Joseph was my driver and he did all he could do to make me feel safe and spot the animals. The whole experience was amazing and I recomend it.
I had Robert for my tour guide and absolutely loved this trip! He was very knowledgeable and accommodating to what I wanted to do. He was open to any and all questions. For the trip itself, it was incredible!! We got to see so many animals around the park. Truly a great day! Highly recommend!
We had an excellent day with Hassan who was our guide. Everything was well organized both in terms of communication beforehand and in terms of the day's progress. Our guide was keen to offer us regular breaks. To question our expectations and do everything possible to meet them. So we were able to observe the animals we wanted to see thanks to him who moved heaven and earth... Inquiring, turning around, exploring many paths to make this day a memorable memory. We contacted Ian on a short notice to arrange for us a trip to Akagera. Being a last minute request, we found him to be very fast, gave us all information we needed and booked the trip. Akagera Nat park is close to Kigali, few hours drive from the capital, spent the day in the park and was amazing.
Regrettably, this review is not really a reflection on the tour company and definitely not on the guide, but it was an average experience. Akagera is similar to Etosha National Park, in that you can't go off the hard pack road, so it can be very difficult to see animals. I have been on a multitude of safaris and explored probably 20 safari parks. While I did see a couple lions, lots of giraffes, a couple rhinos, they were so far away that my 600mm lens could only muster a blur in the trees. The two best photos I could get were a zebra and a bird on the edge of the lake. Disappointing. I think if the tour was cheaper, it wouldn't be such a big deal that it's not a great park, but of course the tour company needs to make a profit.
Very easy going activity. Nothing to worry about. Very friendly driver and guide. We saw a lot of animals and part of the big five!
