We booked our trip with okeytours through get your guide. They were mean tot confirm the time for pick up 24 hours before. I didn’t hear from them so messaged the company directly. Still didn’t hear back so the evening before pick up I contacted get your guide and they contacted the tour company to confirm pick up which was 10:10. We were really looking forward to this trip. We had looked through other people’s photos of the trip and googled the places. We were picked up in a minin bus on time and drove to the marina. We didn’t stop and the guide just told us if we looked out to the left that was the marina. We then went to see the mosque. We did actually get out the minibus here but we couldn’t go in. We were taken to an argon oil factory where they tried to sell us expensive products. Then on to the souk. I was expecting it to be vibrant with lots of life, selling spices and souvenirs. It was just like a giant jumble sale with cheap fake products. We were then taken back to the hotel. We didn’t even see the kasbah. We were offered to be taken somewhere else at an additional charge however we had already paid for our trip and there was no top up payments in the description to do additional activities therefore hadn’t taken extra money with me for this. The tour guide gave us pointless and weird information for example “to the left is a school” to the right is a big house, if the gate was open you would see a big car” it was like being in a comedy show. Thankfully I managed to get partial payment back through get your guide. However I am aware that they contacted the tour operator and they said they did take us to the marina and the kasbah! Which was a lie! We just drove past the marina and didn’t even see the kasbah. Once we got back we looked at the reviews on get your guide and once you sort them from bad to good, this isn’t the first time this has happened. However it does look on some reviews like some people have an amazing trip so I’m wondering whether it depends which tour guide you have. I love to learn the history to places so I was hugely disappointed. I have seen from looking at trip advisor reviews that the people who haven’t had a good experience tend to get abuse from the company and accused of lying or being a competitor. You will see from my reviews on trip advisor that I am a genuine person and this is a genuine review. I didn’t appreciate the tour guide ringing me constantly the day after I complained to get your guide. I ended up blocking his number.
Amazing tour guide and driver (Houssain). So many different places we were taken, also Hatim was telling us all about where we were and what was around us. Showed us so many new things! Thank you Houssain and Hatim. Highly recommend!
The car was 20 mins late picking us up. We had a very quick drive through of the Mariana - would have been nice to be able to stop for a picture. Hardly what I call a visit to the marina. We then drove up to the hill to the fort. What the guide did not warn us about is the mens with the snakes and goats who sudden give you the animal and grab your phone to take pictures, - they then demand money from you for the pictures 300 dirham each. It left a bitter taste in our mouths. We then went to see the outside of a mosque - we wanted to see inside but were told we could not. It was then on to the Souk market and we were only given 45 mins to walk round - which is not a lot. We were then driven around past the football stadium which was well out of the way and nothing special as we could not get close to that either. We did then stop at another mosque - the largest in Agadir that had just been finished being built. - was worth the stop to look at the outside. During the trip the Guide - ( Marina I think she said her name was ) spent more time talking to the driver than talking to the guests. Not up to the usual Viator standard.
The owner’s reply was impolite and highly unprofessional. Instead of responding respectfully to the feedback, the answer was rude and defensive, which created an even worse impression of the business.
Guide was excellent kept us informed snd had a great attitude. Very friendly and informative. Great value for money
We booked with the company OWNER Abdellah Bahmane and were told we would be picked up, but nobody came. There was no clear update or communication, and we ended up wasting a lot of time waiting. This was really disappointing and not a good experience.
how do you know abdel is the owner, you must be a hater who couldnt make it and trying to drop us down, keep trying you will end up poor, instead of focusing on yourself.
We were met by our guide Hassan at our hotel, in a nice clean car. There were 6 of us in total on our trip. He was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. He spoke very good English. The tour was good, took in sights, it was a good way to get a feel for the area.
It was a really nice experience, especially if you are traveling alone without a car, you don't know what you can look at all. But that's how it's all done. Thank you again.
Tour was fantastic the guide was so informative and an excellent tour guide Had a great time in the souk plenty of time for shopping and exploring shopping was also fab! Plenty of real fakes !
